Secrets? Hmmm...I don't really know.
Drink LOTS of water. I get in 90-100oz of water a day. In my mind, it isn't worth it to drink your calories.
PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN. Nuts, peanut butter, cheese sticks, yogurt, cottage cheese, beef jerky, etc. Get some in every time you stick something in your mouth.
DO NOT drink with your meals. Opinions on this vary, but I believe it is one of the tried and true keys to being successful. Wait 30-45 mins before and after meals to drink. I drink TONS of water between meals. Helps with the head hunger also (most of the time).
Don't deprive yourself. Get rid of the mentality "I'll never have XXX again."  You can eat bread and potatoes again. BUT it is likely you wont' want to! Takes up too much room!!! I do eat them, but not much. I feel too 'stuffed' most of the time.
Take it one meal at at time if you have to. No one said it will always be easy. I do journal occasionally, but overall I find this doesn't work for me because I end up obsessing over every thing to the point of misery.
Take your supplements.
WEIGH DAILY.  Some folks think THAT is obsessive...to each his own. Once I found the place where I stabilized, I began to weigh every AM. Those 10-15 pounds won't be able to sneak up on you as easily when you are staying on top of them!!
