FRIDAY WEIGH IN!
You know, when you only weigh just over a hundred pounds anyway, two pounds really shows! I know 126 isnt' just over a hundred pounds but to all us previously MO people...126 sounds like a feather weight...
And new words! Gaunt. I never in my 50 years heard "gaunt" when in reference to myself! never ever. Can't recall anyone calling anyone in my family gaunt either...Then about a month ago, I used it in reference to myself. That was a wake up call for me.
I hope things are looking up with the pneumonia and your hubby. That pneumonia isn't anything to take lightly. Doing my genealogy and family history and looking at death certificates...9 times out of ten that's the cause of death. When I had it I could only lay in bed. I cried cuz I thought I was going to die. Then I slept. When I woke up I cried cuz I wasn't sure I was going to die...I really wanted to.
What would our hubbies do without us to take care of them? Most single men, die young cuz they can't take care of themselves. I hope and pray some brilliant girl will take my son under her arm and take care of him...He's in serious need. LOL. There are exceptions to the rule (have one cousin, male who died at 91, never married...go figure).
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Dawn today was my 4th day on Prednisone, I have 13 total. I had antibiotics for 20 days and I take 2 probiotics daily. I feel much better than when you emailed me and I canceled hubby's neuro appt until June 10th to make sure I would feel better and out of danger of being in public. Also canceled my dental appts and told them I would call when I was completely better and the office manager/receptionist tells me right before I started at the office she had pnuemonia and was still sick when I was there...go figure putting patients in that situation. Not to mention since every dentist has their specialty here I had 4 dentist in my mouth in 10 days!
Not sure what would happen to my hubby if something happens to me. Though when I had a stroke back in 99 I was unable to walk or talk for quite some time and he took very good care of me....I THINK!!! I remember him carrying me to the shower and washing my hair almost daily. He cooked but I am not sure if I wrote down stuff for him or what, thats time from 99-2001 is a blur but it was before I ever gained any weight. Things are different since June 22 '06 he has had heart attack, two stents placed, 2 carotid arties opened and now the stroke with a large polyp or cyst in the brain area....all this and taking care of bills, appts, house, yard then my appliances had to be replaced and yesterday my septic tank drained...I flushed toilet and the water started coming up the shower so I guess it was time. We built this house 12 yrs ago and everyone I spoke to says it usually needs doing every 4 yrs, turns out my custom builder was a real smart guy, gave me nearly double the size most have in my area, So when the guy was leaving he laughed and said see you in 12 yrs. I hope I am still around!!
Current weight:120 and still 5'4
It's different here in California but we put a septic in the house next door about 20 years ago and it's never needed to be drained at all. Must be the ground and the lack of vegetation around here..Desert. We put the one we've used on this house in i***** Never drained that either. We put oversized in too. As a matter of fact we have two on our house now because when we did the addition it was just alittle too far to the other end where the original septic is and not enough "drop". So now 2 1500 gallon septics for us. Our custom builder is us..We drew up the plans and did all the work except putting in the concrete...That's best left to the professionals. But my husband is pretty healthy and can do all that stuff. God, I'm blessed with him...
Lovely about the dentist's office...Just lovely. I may never go to the dentist again!
They had me on zithromax when I had pneumonia. Take it 5 days and then off of it for the next five. On the last day of taking it, I developed a really really bad rash/hives all over my body and had a scratchy throat. So now it's one of the things on my medic alert bracelet..No Zithromax.
It sounds like you're feeling better in any case. I bet putting off the appointments made all the difference. Now that stress of having to be somewhere is gone, you can get down to feeling better. Just don't lose any more weight...You're too hard to find around here now...
