1/2 day of 1st day 5dpt down hee hee
ok so i have to post my milstones every 4 hours. lol lol I am so proud of myself though. I am doing so good! I have had 2 protein shakes and almost 40 oz's of water and it is just 12:30 and I feel totally satisfied. Well I am trying to start a really mild headache so I am fixing to have some tomato soup and then some more water 30 min after that. I am just shocked I am really doing this. lol lol

Hi Denise,
I am also starting the 5dpt today and am doing well. I thought I would have fallen off by now but I am really happy. I had a Carnation Instant Breakfast, a skinny lattee, 30 oz water, and soup so far.
This may not be as bad as i thought. We can do this!

Hey girl. Glad to hear you are doing good to. Are you having the Carnation sugar free? And if so where in the heck did you find them. I have checked like 4 walmarts in my area and have a hard enough time finding the reg Carnation much less the sugar free kind. that is ALL i could drink protein shake wise after my surg. Just could not handle the taste of any other ones. I do like the slim fast optima though with low sug and high protein. The vanilla is really good. We can do this.

Denise I'm so glad you posted at half-day! I'm having a great day too and thought I'd really be struggling by now (it's 3:41 p.m. here). I too am getting a mild headache. That really confirms for me that I'm a carb-addict!!
So far, I've had a protein shake (unsweetened soy protein powder, Silk with fiber, a little Splenda and cinnamon), and I had two cups of the split pea and ham soup on the 5DPT website. It was SOOO good it did feel like cheating!
Like Shelly, I'm going to make the ham and cheese soup for dinner. That REALLY sounds like cheating!
I'm not at all hungry. Amazing what those friggin' carbs do to us, huh?

I just put the ham and cheese soup together and it is simmering away. For some reason I thought the tofu would melt, I have not ever really cooked with tofu, and I think I will wish I cut it in smaller pieces. The reason I wanted to do the 5dpt is because I found myself loading up on slidders right at this time of day, right before dinner, and then I would not feel like even eating dinner. I found an extra 10 pounds on me from my lowest point, although I felt too skinny at that low number. I really just want to be in control and not slip. I had fun preparing the soup, got hungry and drank a protein drink instead of grabbing some pretzels or something else. So, I am hoping I will be able to keep it up until hubby gets home. Not sure what to fix for him and son yet. Better get on that now that I know I won't want to pick at their food as the soup looks and smells really pretty good:) Keep up the good work everyone:)
You guys are all doing so great! I did perfect the first day of the 5dpt then "fell off" at 11:00 that night, and did not continue. So i know it's not easy. I'm doing really good the last few days tracking what I eat and working out, I'm eating the basics..protein and very little carb, and it feels good. I may still do the 5dpt after a while, and I'm so proud of you guys cause I know it's not easy! Can I just do the last THREE days of the 5dpt? lol.. I could totally do that! And that first day really I was fine, I just had half a bag of something I love (and I'm not going to say it cause I don't want any of you thinking about foods not on your 5dpt plan) but it got the best of me that first night. Good job guys! Keep it up! You're all an inspiration.

Thank you so much for your post of encouragment. It truly means alot at least to me. I knew this first two days would be the worse. lol lol I truly feel so accomplished right now but then again I am not home preparing supper yet. lol lol I am making chilli and just will not have any crackers of course. If it gets too bad for me later then I plan on taking my sleeping pill early and going on to bed. hee hee I have an 8 month old so staying up late is not an option for me. lol lol I'm like you if I can JUST make it to day 3 I will be even better. lol lol
