How do I make protein coffee?
These are the steps I follow:
- make (drip) double strength coffee
- heat 3/4 cup milk in the microwave until steaming but not boiling.
- mix in a lattee mug 1 scoop of choc protein powder with 1/4 cup cold mild. Mix until blended.
- slowly add hot milk to the protein mix, stirring.
- add 1 cup hot coffee to the milk/protein mix.
In the summer I chill the coffee and don't heat the milk.

Syntrax Nectar makes a Cappucino flavor. It has 23 gms of protein. I make it with FF milk for another 8 gms (making 31 gms of protein). I then add a scant teaspoon of instant coffee which kills any taste of the protein. It is already sweetened with Splenda.. I put this over ice. If you'd like to add a DaVinci sf flavor or Cool Whip I guess that would be fine, but I like the mix just as I described it. The nectar has 170 cal, no fat, no chol. If you really like coffee it's a good bet. Then, if you buy it at the Vitamin Shoppe (chain store like GNC) and don't like it you can bring it back. -Zook-
