5 DPT week of 6/23/08- Day 4
Good morning ladies! It's 0930 here in Seoul and it's a beautiful morning. I got the on scale and discovered I had lost 1/2 lb. I'm happy. The strangest thing though...I'm not hungry for an actual breakfast. In fact, instead of deciding what to eat this morning, my brain is telling me, 'You're leaving the house is a couple hours. You better get in a protein shake." Amazing. I have errands to run and then I am meeting hubby for lunch. We'll probably go to Burger **** as it's cheap and easy. Am I worried? Nope. I'll order their grilled chicken salad and iced tea. I won't fini**** I'm sure. I have no craving for fast food. No cravings at all, except the need/want for that first protein shake of the day. WOW. This is working!
I'll keep you posted. I'm curious to see how much I eat and if I stick to my idea of having a salad.

Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to give you an update this afternoon. I met hubby for lunch and I nearly lost it the moment I walked into the food court. I could smell the grease permeating throughout the building. I asked hubby to order me a salad with grilled chicken on it. He nodded his head and I went to find a table. When he came back with our food, there was a chicken sandwich waiting for me! It wasn't the large, oblong one. this was was on a round bun and fried. I couldn't believe it. I sat there for an eternity trying to decide what to do. Do I give in and eat it? Do I throw it out? I took the meat off the bun and scraped off as much of the goop as I could. Then I used a knife and fork to cut it into bite sized pieces. After about 4-5 bites I decided to take the skin off completely and finish just the meat. What a good girl! I didn't finish the whole thing. I left about 1/3 of it. I think it was roughly 4oz of meat. I then waited as long as I could and tackled the bottle of water I had with me. Now I'm home and doing okay. It's going to be protein shakes the rest of the day! Hubby felt awful. I'm going to let him feel that way for a while. Maybe tomorrow I'll forgive him. :-)

Way to Go!! Day 4 was the easiest for me. I'm finished the 5dpt last Sun but have kept eating healthy and used all the pouch rules. I'm glad I'm back in the swing of t hings. I have been making great choices but I know that if I choose to eat carbs, I'll be back in the "pits" again. Glad you are doing well. Keep me posted.

Way to go, Dancin' D!
It's now 6:00pm here in Seoul and I've just finished dinner. I had a small whole wheat tortilla with 1 tsp. mayo, 4 slices of turkey, and a sliced hard boiled egg on top. Wrapped it up and only ate half! Now, this could be because I ate too fast but who cares? Mission accomplished. I didn't want to eat the whole thing and still be hungry. I ate half and am full. Now it's time to go back into the kitchen to make manicotti for an impromptu get-together at hubby's work. I figure it would be better to cook my favorite dish while full than while i'm hungry. No temptation.
Can't wait for you all to wake up. I'm lonely and my family is driving me crazy! Hubby has the News playing LOUDLY, teenagers have infiltrated and are playing WII, and my 7 yr old has been talking non-stop since 0800. I want a glass of wine, a bubble bath, and ear plugs! Don't worry. No wine in the house, if I were in the tub the family would find me and constantly knock on the bathroom door and ear plugs don't help because they just keep talking until I answer. GGGRRR!!! I need a vacation! LOLOL
Hurry and wake up. I'm here all alone! WAAAA!
