So while i am happily singing the phrases of the 5dpt (who turned me on to that anyway?? Im sorry i dont recall exactly which of you did, but i truely an thankful!!) - Im on my "day 4" of the 5dpt (note - i started it last week lol) & it was pretty good. I did go to a party tonight, but i didnt totally over do it. So im OK w/ that. What was a bigger deal to me what that I DIDNT have a cig or a ****tail!! But I do have to confess - & i think this is a good thing in the end. Yesterday, i had a bunch of good things all in accordance w/ the day 3 menu (tuna, eggs, yada yada) & closed the day with a couple of chunks of prime rib (not in the menu) & a CARMEL SUNDAY FROM MCDONALDS (wait wait - WTF happened to the tuna & eggs?!??!?! LMAO!!!) yes ladys & gents - I had 1/2 carmel sunday (tossed the rest) & felt sooooooooooooooooooooooooo completely SICK, i wished i could have  but nooooooo i couldnt get rid of it - so i suffered. **picture me like Bart Simpson when he touches the electric fense - ow - ow - ow - ow. ya, i know you'd would have thought that i would have learned my lesson years ago & would already know that i cant eat that - but no LOL. I had to try it.** The good thing out of all of this - I FELT SICK! my stomach rejected it & i got the msg (yes, i torture myself LOL). so - my tool DOES still work (like a huge science experiment right). I also have to say that Ive hardly had any water this weekend (i hate water almost as much as i hate vits & its very hard to choke it down). that said, I also have to report that ive had heartburn w/ almost everything ive eaten this weekend! i never get heartburn, but seem to have had it at least 5 times this weekend. hmmmmmmm whats that about?? Anyways, Ive been able to maintain the weight i lost last week during the weekend (which would be days 3 & 4); but i think i feel/felt "better" being on days 1 & 2. I definitely drink more water (which is a good thing), im sure to get im my protein (shakes all day) which is another good thing & im very happy w/ the "results" from last weeks experiment. So Im gonna start the week off tomorrow back on day 1 w/ the rest of you. Im gonna bite the bullet & get a huge jug of IsoPure powder & whip up a bunch of shakes for the week. & i think on days 3 & 4, i'll continue to have the shakes during the day & then follow it up w/ food for dinner. i plan on biking to work for the majority of this week - so im REALLY interested in what my "results" will be at the end of the week. So, give yourselves a & a big for surviving a tough week & the weekend. Lets give this thing another try tomorrow, shall we? Good luck to you all!! -c

Girl,

I think we've all been there at one time or another. I know I have! I'm sorry you were sick, but at the same time I'm happy for you because you KNOW your pouch is talking to you! Isn't this negative reinforcement what we're after? YES! So, in a warped way, I am happy for you.

SWEET omg you ROCK!!** I am quite sure ppl passing by throught i was completely  (as im gasping for air) - but i dont care . I know i rocked it!!

You've got such a good attitude. None of us are perfect, that's for sure, we've just go to keep getting back on the horse. It seems like some days I can get away with anything, and I think Oh No, I can eat anything now, and then I'll have days where I get sick pretty easy. Like yesterday, I made Paula Deen's ooey gooey butter cakes with toffee sprinkles for a dinner I'm having tonight, and I licked my fingers a few times when I was cutting them, and OMG, I was so sick. I just couldn't stand the thoughts of wiping the knife with a paper towel and throwing it away, so I figured it was better off inside of me. How stupid was that? Anyhow, that sick spell has put me back on track, for a while at least.

Welcome to the "smacked by the newspaper" club...When I get sick like that I think "Now how can I keep from that happening again? Oh right...compliance." I sure hate it when I get smacked by the newspaper but it just takes time for me to try something like that again.  Sorry you got sick but isn't it just the most wonderful learning experience? LOL. Hope you feel better soon.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

You know, I feel the same way. So many people aren't blessed/cursed with dumping and I am. I stay away from the foods that made me dump first out and so now if I even have a little...dump again. I know I don't dump like I used to but the fear of the whole thing happening again, that keeps me on the straight and narrow. Like training a puppy with a newspaper. Around here we use a flyswatter (cuz it has longer reach) but it's all the same. No pain in the flyswatter or newspaper but that sound and the startled thing and they're on the straight and narrow too...

Let me know what you think about the powdered isopure.. I've been wanting to try it, but I really don't like the bottled stuff so I would hate to spend $50 on a jug of it and have to gag it down. I'm liking the EAS proteins so far..but isopure has like what, 50 grms of protein per 200 cal serving?! It's amazing!  Good job last week! And good luck this week! Will be in touch.. a LOT! leslee

omg I LOVE the bottled IsoPure!! I like the mango peach & blue raspberry the bestest though they do leave a slight "coating" on the mouth - to me its better than trying to gulp down the powdered sludge. It doesnt even feel like im drinking PROTEIN - its more like Im treating myself to a ****tail or drinking gatoraide (which is strange b/c i hate gatoraide). I like IsoPure the best b/c it DOES have the highest amount of whey isolate protein around - but i totally feel you on  not wanted to drop $50.00+ bucks on a huge jug only to hate it!
