My picture - finally!

Thanks for the compliment! I will get some before shots put on. I'm so computer-challenged I'll have to have one of my kids help me. I don't have a scanner which I think I'd need to get it on my computer?? I'll keep working at it. I don't look at them very often but I think you're right that maybe they'll help me stay focused! Nice to meet you! I lived in Northern Maine for 3 winters (not years but winters) :-)...

We were at Loring AFB. Now, my husband is retired from the Air Force and we live in North Carolina. I can use another friend and encouragement, I'm really struggling...  Kathy

Hi Kathy, Nice to meet you too! I'd say you lived in Northern Maine!!! My son was accepted at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone and will be leaving August 16th. He's my baby so I'll be a quasi-empty nester. He'll be home for about 5 days each month and school vacations and summers. It's a good opportunity (at least that's what I keep telling myself!). I used to live in Chapel Hill, NC so we have even more in common! I went to Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. I loved NC but it was pretty expensive to live in Chapel  Hill and I was home sick for Maine. I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. I'd be happy to support you however I can. Take care. . .

I'm a former Air Force brat. I live in NC now and am a transplant from the SF Bay Area in CA. I'm sorry that you are struggling. I'm in Raleigh and I hold monthly support groups that draw people from as far as Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Greenville, Fayetteville, etc... While we have a number of newbies, we also have folks that are years out. If there is anything I can do to be of support, please let me know.
