Hi all,   I have had an ongoing sags of first constipation, and now epugastrcic pain  I had an EGD which did not show anything to my surgeon so am still quite bummed.   Has anyone had something this mysterious?  I know there ar lots of strange things among all of but am wondering what it could be that is not showing up on anything...   My symptoms were originally severe constipation.  That seems to be resolved with MOM--in a weird way.  I pretty much have a little something come out each time I pee and usually with a lot of gas and then a bunch of little pieces in the toilet. Nothing I am not able to work around.  I often feel like everything isn't out but I can love with it.  The tiny little explosive results seem pretty weird.   My other problem is the epigastric pain.  It hurts the majority of the time.At its worse it feel like the pain is stabbing straight through to my shoulder. It seems a little worse when I am hungry and I feel like I am eating too much trying to keep the pain and nausea at bay.  At times I feel like things are just kind of stuck in my throat...even water.  In addition I have had a couple of episodes where I cannot keep nay thing down (but now have Zofran for that as well as percocet.  I take those on kind of an as needed basis.  I am also pretty tired most of the time and would put my day to day pain level at a 6--it has been up to a 9 though   I have had a diagnostic lap in Feb, a couple of CT scans, multiple tests at Mayo including a CT, An abdominal ultrasound, some test to check that my pelvic floor was functioning.  All of them good.  And an EGD today.   Has anyone had or does nay one know of something that might not show up on all these tests?  I think my surgeon would order any tests that might find something.  He said whatever it is is pretty intermittent and unless he could catch it happening on a CT or scope he has not idea.  The epigastric stuff and the abdominal pain are probably two different issues. He told my husband he was able to get the scope nearly 7 feet in to look at everything.  Glad I was  asleep through that one.  I have read of the sphincter thing and the intusseption etc.  Wondered if these were things that showed up on tests at some point.  Any other thoughts..  PLEASE   Alice

I was having terrible stomach pain and had an EGD done which didn't show anything. My doctor said it's probably gastritis and prescribed Prevacid. It worked like a charm! I'm now pretty careful about limiting acidic drinks (no Crystal Light, orange juice, easy on coffee) and only need to take it occasionally and OTC Prilosec works pretty well. Since I've started taking fish oil capsules, I don't have any more constipation. I also take Hema-Plex as my iron supplement and it's much gentler on my stomach and doesn't constipate like regular iron supplements. Good luck!

What about a naturopath??  I was having some issues regard Bowel movements and she suggested that it was linked to my gallbladder.  So since it wasn't bad enough to treat surgically, and wouldn't even show up on any Dr's tests, she helped me out with some naturopathic remedies and it was fantastic!!  Good luck.
