Billie....don't cancel.   Food is NOT everything !!!  And Yes...more and likely you will again with time be able to enjoy all the things that you mentioned.   But without the surgery....your health and your life is in jepordy.    You never know WHY that other lady cancelled.  Maybe a dealth in the family or someone out of town needed her to be with them desporately.   Please you made this decision so that you WILL BE ALIVE to see your son's next birthday party and so you will be alive and  healthy to be able to see grandchildren one day.   So that you will be healthy enough to live a funfilled life.   YOU are doing this surgery to regain your life....not punish yourself   Trust me   If I had to do my RNY over again I would do it in a heartbeat.   I will keep you in my prayers that you will go through with your surgery and not cancel !!!   You are NOT deprived of anything except for living life to the fullest if you cancel !!!

 Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE;   COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN;  AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!!    THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

being 1 year out from my RNY and 115lbs lighter I can honestly say it was the best thing I ever did for myself.  I don't miss the food I can't eat.  I don't crave it and I don't want it.  Especially the fatty foods.  I don't eat at Mcd's anymore and I don't have any interest.  Your tastes change HUGE the day you have that surgery.  I hated yogurt, now I love it.  I was addicted to Mc Donalds and now I have no interest in it.  My sons birthday cake in June ... I had a tiny bite and enjoyed it but didn't want any more.  As an added bonus......  I have not had a craving for a cigarette since that day either.  AND my diabetes was gone within 3 days of the surgery.  If you're not ready then re-schedule but put some serious thought into cause it is the start of a new healthier life.  Believe me!
