Loss of an OH member

I am so sorry to hear this. I always enjoyed her sense of humor and kindness in her posts. Its unbelieveable to me that something like this could happen so quickly. Its scary and very very sad. I will keep her family in my prayers.

Joanne, I'm so sorry for the FL group's loss.  Vickie was on the scrapbook forum with us for a long time.  She and I joked repeatedly about a lack of motivation to work on our albums.  We have a yahoogroup and were shocked when we got the email about arrangements for Vickie.  I did some Googling and found her obit.  I'm so sad that it was the result of something treatable.  Vickie was such a sweet lady and I'm going to miss her so much .  She's certainly getting a page in my scrapbook.

I'm sure she'd appreciate the page in your scrapbook.  Vickie was a very special person and I still can't believe that I can't pick up the phone and call her.  I too am going to miss her very much.  She was a great friend and mentor.  I thnk the one thing she would want everyone to do is to learn from this and not let this happen to anyone else.

Oh my gosh Joanne, I am so saddened to hear this news. She had surgery the same month & year as me and was a regular contributor to the January 05 board. How scary that this can happen to us even as we get further out from our surgery. I'm saying a prayer for her family.

She was helpful to me from the day I joined OH.  Thank you for letting us know about our loss.  My prayers are for  all her friends and family.

Omgosh. Ill keep her family and friends in my prayers.

Joanne I am sitting here in dis-belief that Vickie is gone. We kept in touch, had our surgeries about the same time and in the beginning we both frequent the Florida message board as well  and I know she's not someone who wouldn't take care of herself if she had only known.  How sad to hear this. I almost went to bed without reading the board but something kept pulling me in. Thank you for posting this for Vickie's friends.

My deepest sympathy to Vickie's family.  I remember meeting her at one of the Florida Events.  It is a stark and horrible reminder we are forever altered and must be advocates for our own well being every moment.  How horrific to realize there are locations in modern society that are not educated in such a mainstream medical condition.

A terribly sad loss.
