 Starting this early before I head off to work. Last few days I've not been home till to late to post.
So how did your day go?

I think this is all I will eat today. Had good exercise yesterday and today and feel good. Even did some yard work yesterday. OOOH, it was hot!

It's hot here too, but they keep my office at arctic levels so I'm accumulating cardigans here. Food today is good so far, so here's to staying positive!

B: Kashi Go Lean Cinnamon Coffee Cake Protein Bar

S: homemade apple cinnamon protein cookie

L: 5 veggie pizza bites

S: homemade apple cinnamon protein cookie

D: Either a red lentil bake or baby bellas stuffed with tomato (from my garden hooray!), cheese, and what ever other veggies/random foods are in my fridge.

S: Probably a protein bar. I need to make some more!

My day has been soso..I need more accountability to be sure...my protein lately has been very lacking.  Eating protein has been an issue for me, any dense kind makes me sick...any suggestions and inspirations? PLEASE???? Thanks so much! D

In the research I've done with people who had rny and are 15+  years out and due to the medical fact that rny is a mal-absorption surgery. Meaning, that we cannot absorb all we eat, meaning protein, vitamins, vegetables....  This is why we must have vitamin supplements, and protein supplements.  Specifically whey protein.
It is best that y ou supplement at least 3 whey protein shakes a day with what you eat so that your body can absorb the necessary protein. Protein will also keep you feeling full.  
I can't eat lots of dense protein, but I work at it.  Start with the whey protein and perhaps cheese protein to get started.

Today felt pretty good until I was baby-sitting for a friend... She had JUNK FOOD IN HER HOUSE!!! I nibbled on some cookies and mixed nuts... They were good, I guess. But then I felt guilty about it. I have another friend who swears she eats for nourishment only--not enjoyment (she's as thin as a rail). If only, I could get that through my head! :-)

 it takes time to break bad habits. For me Amy, its realizing I am a food addict.  I can't have that stuff around me. I always have to have tasty alternatives around me.
Don't feel guilty about last night, one time won't hurt you. You've been very consistant and are working hard.  That is what matters in the long run...how you do 6 days out of seven.
