I am one year post op RNY. i saw my surgeon and he put he off for 1 year. Is that normal?? THanks

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you're asking.  Please explain in more detail what your surgeon said.

If you mean that he doesn't want to see you again for another year: Yes, that's normal.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

yes. He advises you go to your regular doctor for blood work and follow up now. think about it. most surgeons are finished after the surgery.
I thought the same thing. Mine does no blood work etc. He just wants to document you in his system once a year. Finished.....
I have my blood work done each 6 months. it changes weekly.

we do labs quarterly for life, or until insurance makes us only do 2 per year.

Is that what you're asking? Like is it ok to wait 2 yrs for labs? No, it's not
