could it be my gallbladder?

hi all, I have a question. I had Hummus and Falafel for lunch yesterday and about 3 hours later I started suffering from intense gas pain and abdominal pain. I went home, and got fever and chills and spent some "quality" time on the toilet. The entire evening i ran a fever and couldn't stand up from the gas pain. My stomach/pouch feels like I was doing crunches all night long. I don't have the gas issues as bad today but my stomach really hurts. Any suggestions? Is this something I shoudl be worried about?

oh, i'm 2.5 years post op.

I'm really  not sure what it could be, but I never hesitate to call the dr whenever something weird happens. Also, b/c you started to run a fever I would question that. I hope you feel better today!

I had to have my GB out this past Jan - my symptoms would start within 15 minutes of eating and last anywhere from 15-45 minutes... I would have horrible cramping, dry heaves, sweats etc. It wouldnt always happen just randomly with different foods... I could eat one thing and be ok and another time not be ok. If it happens every time you are eating or keeps happening call the Doc, hard to say... this time of year everybody is sick so it could just be a bug *shrug*

Thanks Tracey and Jennifer. i've been in contact w/ my surgeon and he had me do an ultrasound yesterday, he said it looked okay, but we are doing a CT scan today, well tonight. I still have pretty bad gas pains, and my stomach feels "bruised". i don't know how to put it any other way.

so, we'll see. he's also doing a kidney screen.. I am hoping for a flu bug, but i get this issue every so often..i kinda hope they can find something so they can fix it.
