I have been going to curves for a month now I got weighed in last night ,boohoo I did not lose any weight I gained 2 lbs but lets hope it is muscle lol I lost 2 inches in my abb & a inch in my hips & gained a 1/2 in in my arms so I will take inches also I can tell the diff in my tummy & hips now can not wait to see what next month holds maybe weight this time

I would say the workouts have created muscle.  As muscle is more dense than fat, that explains the measurements.

Since it takes more calories to maintain the same amount of muscle as fat, you will eventually see weight loss (assuming calories stay constant).

thnks for the advice & hope the weight does come back off ,kind of upsets me when the weight creeped back up but now I am getting a hold on it ,i can tell the inches are gone also weird I know

Even if you are maintaining or gaining a litte, if you are adding muscle and losing fat, that's great.  If you want a way to track in addition to taking your measurements, consider buy a body composition monitor - it looks like a scale, but it measures your skeletal muscle percentage, body fat percentage, and it calculates your BMI and resting metabolic rate.  I bought one about a year ago and I've found the information helpful as I approached maintanence, and also increased my strength training to build more muscle.  Mine is made by Tanita, I ordered it from amazon.com and it cost about $50. 

Anyway, just a suggestion about a way to get more detailed information about what you're body is doing!  Good luck on your continuing journey -
