December 2007 - 195lbs
December 2008 - 185 lbs

Surgery Date: 6/11/03 - 5 and half years post op.

I have been bouncing the same 5-10 lbs for the past two and half years so I glad to be on the lower end of it right now.

Not good.  Struggling.  Up about 17 lbs this year.  I sure hope I can get some control next year.  I'm back to trying all of the old weight loss tricks that didn't work before surgery.  When will they finally discover that magic pill?????

BTW does anyone know how to change my email address on my profile.  I'm changing providers and want my new email on record here.

I'm immensely relieved to see I'm not the only one who's in this deplorable situation.  I'm too lazy to go look up exactly where I was a year ago, but I think I'm UP about 15 lbs.; unfortunately, a year ago, I was already up about 25-30 lbs. from my ideal goal weight.

I do believe I am totally ready to tackle this.  My predicament is completely my fault, so I know exactly what I need to change.   My DH is also needing to take off some weight, so that will help me too.

We have a daughter getting married in Aug., and I refuse to even consider looking for my dress for awhile!  Another daughter got married when I was 2 yrs. post-op, and I looked super, if I do say so myself!  While I don't think I'll probably be at that same weight, I can surely do a heck of a  lot better than where I am now!

I pray that if you ask this same question next Dec., I will have a more positive answer!

Always,
Jo

Hi all,

This year has been ok.  I have stayed a size 8-10 (I use this as a guide to success in lieu of scales).  The thing is, the more I lose, the flabbier I get.  So do I want that size 6 and more flab or stay the same 8-10.  I opt for the same.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Hi Kathy, I'm really not sure exactly where I was this time last year but I do recall freaking out in January 2008 because I was over my goal weight a few lbs.  This is the best I can remember:

December 2007:  134 (give or take a lb or 2 down)
December 30, 2008:  127.8

So I'm still doing ok scale wise, mentally it is harder than ever.

My pre-surg weight in 2007 was 321 and I never did lose at the exponential rate many folks do after WLS, but it has been steady. I lose about a pound a month now and I am good with that. I am a size 14/16 and feel better than I ever have. If I continue to drop, FABULOUS! If I stay right here, that's just fine too.

Surgery Date: November 15, 2005
January 1, 2008 weight: 132
April 21, 2008 weight: 128 (all time low)
January 1, 2009 weight: 138

My surgeon's goal weight for me was 152. My personal goal was 144.

I'm not thrilled about 138, but I'm working to get back on track and back down in the low 130s again.
