Hi Paul

it's good to see a fellow Brit on here.  How much did you need to lose before wls?  What % have you lost?  'They' say you can expect to lose 70-80% of your excess weight, so you may have reached this number already?  It all depends on your numbers.

I was a slow loser, but then I was considered a light weight.

Have you reassessed what you are eating?  Do you think your portion size may have crept up a bit?  have you tried tracking your food and looking at the nutricional numbers?  Have a look at the accountability post - it gives great advice on all this.

Are you able to go back to your surgeon to ask for advice?

I'm sure others will come along with more great advice.

Hi Paul

considering your numbers you have done great - ONLY 27lbs to go (2stone to you and me).  Yeh, it gets really frustrating though doesn't it.  It may be that your body needs to rest a while to catch up with the dramatic weight loss?

It's good you know your diet is good.  I too don't have any surgical follow-up so look here for my support.  There are some amazong people here who give great support and ideas.  What some people find is that they have to up their protein and lower the carbs intake?

Hang in there, you' ve done such a fantastic job so far, you'll get to the goal eventually.

Hi Paul
First of all I am not doing well with weight loss (much worse than you).  I know I eat too many calories for my metabolism and exercise.  If you are confused though you can go to www.fitday.com and for free you can track your exercise and caloric intake.  They have a graph showing the surplus of one to the other.  At least you will know why you are not losing.  Then it is just trying to move more or eat less...same old story.   20 % of surgeries fail.  It is up to us to make this work.  You have lost 85 lbs in a year which is really good and you should be proud of that accomplishment.  I really wish you well.  We can do this!   Daisy
