Accountability - Wednesday

Today was rough..really really rough. And as a rule, rough days are low food days. Even with lunch with dh, it was low low low..The end of the year has been really hard and the start up will be even harder. All the staff at the school sites is gone (mostly) for July so any authorization we needed is non-existant..So nothing will be able to get done. Seems like nothing needs to get done but...that's surely not the case.

Friday will be a good day but also long as we'll do our weekend shopping and then head to a Independence Day celebration. We won't be home till very late. Tomorrow are the weekend sales so everyone stock up on barbeque fare..LOL. we're having beef ribs and chicken thighs for a barbeque on Saturday with close friends...Finally! I love to have friends over and it's been nearly a year, it feels like.

List for today:

5:30 am 10 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
6:00 am 1/3 cup instant oatmeal, 1 scoop EAS Soy Protein, 1 cup Plain Soy Milk, 1 tsp espresso powder,
7:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Fruit Punch
8:30 am 1 oz mozzarella cheese stick, 1 oz ham sliced
9:30 am 12 oz Propel Fi****er
10:10 am 1 medium orange raw
11:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Caffeinated Grapefruit
12:00 pm 4 oz chicken breast (grilled) wrapped in lettuce leaf with 2 slices tomato, ranch dressing.
1:00 pm I took my vitamins. Nearly forgot.
1:30 pm 12 oz Drink Mix, Fruit Punch
3:05 pm 1 hard boiled egg
3:40 pm 12 oz Drink Mix, Fruit Punch
4:00 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Tangerine Caffeinated

6:30 pm 4 oz tilapia, 2 small white potatoes boiled with butterbuds.

Totals for the day:
Calories: 1354
Fat: 43.8
Carbs: 121.8
Protein: 122.9

I need a snack but I don't feel like one. I can feel the weekend coming but it's just not here yet. And with all this stress, my head hurts. I'm thinking tylenol PM...

How did you do today? Summer is here and so, if you aren't hanging around the message board, you probably have more fun things to do than I do! Like summer vacation at school...no one is around.

Tomorrow is TGIT! Your BBQ sounds good. I might try some boneless ribs. It has been years since I have had ribs; which is easier to eat pork or beef? I think I parboiled them then grilled therest of the way outside.
B-egg beater omellete w bacon, mushrooms and extra spinach
S-sf snickerdoodle
L-1/2 turkey on wheat with raspberries
S-hummus cucumbers and red peppers
S-string cheese
S SF jello
S baked cheetos
D-at Qdoba inside of a pork taco, naked burito w chicken and no rice did not eat much of it and a few chips
S-Mcdonalds small vanilla cone about 1/2 saved the rest for my fat black lab
Net calories after a 30 minute run was about 1200 calories but only 87 protein and 145 carbs. That was not in the plan! I will do better tomorrow.

Isn't it funny how when we lose weight, our pets get fatter? LOL. I can't say their fat but the dogs sure come running when I come home. They're sure I'm bringing leftover steak (which I usually am). Who needs a fence when they know who and where they're getting treats? Good dogs!

Oh well on the carb number. I don't see any "bad" carbs..no white carbs. Now cheetos might not seem like good carbs but they were baked so, they aren't too bad.

Keep up the good work. See ya.

Hello to all

It's looking to be a bright, sunny and HOT July 4th in my area, the weekend officially kicks off for us tonight...I too will be food shopping both tonight and a quick run to Walmart tomorrow morning ( EARLY so I can beat the rush )...

B - sf nf gingerbread latte & 1 petite vanilla scone

S - 1/2 a panini (leftovers) with london broil, turkey breast and maple ham, 1/2 slice colby & 1/2
       slice mozz cheeses

L - 1 1/2 oz shake-n-bake pork chop, a small spoon of alfredo noodles & 1/2 c gr beans + 1 sf
       pecan delight

S - protein coffee

S - 1/2 serving whole cashews

D - 1/2 c manwich over the bottom of a berger bun and 1oz slice of colby melty over the top + 2
        sf bread and butter pickles

Water / crystal light   138 oz                 Cals - 1275     Fat - 51     NetCarbs - 93     Protein - 85

Had the days food planned and packed when I made the decision to kick-start my program again by cutting the "white" carb intake...Planned todays food last night after looking at the numbers, so I know today will be much better...Its amazing to me how something with SO little content can be sooo high in carbs like the shake-n-bake seasoning I put on my chops - it was probably 3 tbsps tops but still has 11 carbs in a serving of that size, really kills the good effects of eating the pork chop ... Still feel good though about my decision on the carbs and am motivated...

Later all...

You know, you don't need the shake and bake stuff. you can dredge in flour, then beaten egg and then crumbs from something like kashi cereal, chopped fine. Or not at all. alittle lime and cilantro (like I do fish) and that's plenty.

You'll find ways to cut the bad carbs down...It will work. I'm starting to really like lo-carb burgers (wrapped in a lettuce leaf). Bless those low carb dieters that came to California and got us all hooked!

Keep up the good work. See ya.
