Hi everybody! I am a member of SCBWI - the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. I write picture books and middle grade novels. I deck out my writing space with all kinds of things that make me feel like a kid. I write with a lot of humor and sometimes write mysteries. Kids go through a lot of mysteries. Sheryl

Hello, Sheryl! I have recently written a couple of little stories for children. None of them are at the publishing stage yet. Any advice for a newfound writer?

HI Melissa! I would say to frequent the boards and chats at: http://www.write4kids.com and http://www.verlakay.com They also list links and all kinds of great things for children's writers. Also there are cheap classes at universalclass.com on writing for children -- by cheap I mean under $30! I always buy the yearly copy of Children's Writer's and Illustrator's Market. And I am a member of SCBWI -- the Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators. http://www.scbwi.org With these hints and tips from all these sites -- you're on your way! Sheryl
