Someone HAS to know...

Hi, everybody!! Whenever my roommate/family and I want to do something, but don't know who to turn to, we all say "...do we know anyone who...?" So, now I'm turning to you--because I KNOW someone knows. Let's just say you were writing something that you want to get published. Who would you turn to? How do you get something published/looked at?? Thank you, in advance, for your input. Sandi

Hi there. Check out a book called "Writer's Market--2004" I believe that is the correct title...I loaned mine out so I don't have it in front of me for the exact title. It is a fabulous guide, well organized and FULL of information. It is published yearly, and is expensive so you may want to check it out at the library. It lists markets for periodicals, books, contests, as well as info on getting an agent (or not!) and things like that. Best of luck to you! Peace, Suz

Yes, thats the name of the book...its a wonderful resource to have...lots of great advice as well as numbers, names, address's, emails etc...to everyone who has anything to do with any kind of writing...you might try amazons used book section if you dont want to buy it new...its a 40.00 book...(at least) but its totally worth the money....

Write a query letter telling a little about yourself and why you think your book will sell...then enclose a few pages from your book ..if they are interested they will request the whole thing...I did this ... and then did what they call a poor man's copyright..this is where u mail your book to your self and when u reeive it do not open it ..place it in a safe place ...then I got names and addresses of about 20 publishers and started mailing them..havent gotten any response but its just been a short time Im still hoping and praying someone will like it.
