I had noticed that too and was uncomfortable with the exposure. I took my pic's down.

All you have to do is get an agent and he will chase them down for you...
....Good luck in your writing and never give it up...

Topic: I have a complaint about AMOS
It has come to my attention that when someone types in my name on google information from AMOS comes up with links and whatever information I gave to AMOS when I originally joined listing the town I live in. I was told to change my name so that this wouldn't happen, however, when I got a digest from a group I belong to this morning my real name showed up instead of my code name.
I know a lot of people are really open about their surgery but I like to keep private things private and find it really disconcerting having exposure like this. Unless AMOS is able to change their practices I will be forced to terminate all connection and have my membership permanently erased.
I am totally at wits end on this. Why does the world need to know my private life, including where I live?

GLBT WLS Group for Huntsville, Alabama and Surrounding Areas
Everyone,
Just a reminder!
Regarding the Rainbows of Hope Weight Loss Surgery Support group's next meeting... it will be June 1st at 7 p.m., MCC Huntsville, 3015 Sparkman Drive. :
:
Rainbows of Hope is for anyone, but most especially for those in the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Trandgender community (and their partners), who have had, are planning to have, or are thinking about having weight loss surgery/bariatric surgery.
We've had such wonderful meetings thus far, that I look forward to them each month.
I encourage any of you considering this type surgery to come take part. I especially encourage any of you that have had the surgery,
to come by and give support as well as get it. Share your experiences with those who have not had the procedure. Help us be more informed on what to expect. After all, it's all about support, right?
That's Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at 7 p.m., at the Metropolitan Community Church of Huntsville.
For directions,
just call the church office, Tuesday-Friday, 12 noon - meeting time;
(256) 489-3714.
Hope to see you there!
Topic: Poet on Board
Grace and Peace
I am a little suprised to see that not many writers, poets, or talented authors have graced this forum since early January. Maybe there is an issue in the admittance that we have a weight problem. Well, concentrating on me, I am a poet, ministering for the glory of God. As a minister, i had to realize God, before I could realize my talent, and also before I could realize and accept that it is harder to make the decision to live, when you have to do something about it, instead of just letting your life go down the drain. I am hoping that one day soon I will be writing about the experience of changing my life by way of losing the weight I have wanted to lose for so long. I pray for all of us out there who are in need of a life change as well as a mindset change. I am training my body to perform in the strength of my vision, in the words of my pastor, Apostle Bryant Lee Phillips. God Bless everyone, I will be glad to respond to any e-mails. Please remember to pray about this procedure, and make sure it is something you really want to do. Thanks. Teresa

Hi everybody!

Topic: RE: Volunteering using your talents!
I am a freelance writer and a licensed minister. As far as writing is concerned, I have more than five years experience as a reporter/editor for a daily newspaper. I published a Christian newspaper two years before that and have been freelancing professionally since October 2000. One the freelance front, one of my specialties is health writing. I have written health-related articles for Family Digest Magazine (a national glossy) and for Managed Care Magazine (a trade publication). I also had a montly column for occupational therapists for more than two years.
Feel free to check out my website at www.cookworkshop.com for other writing credentials and clips. While I've greatly reduced my assignment writing in the last year (in favor of my ministry commitments) I will do what I can to support this effort.

Topic: RE: Volunteering using your talents!
Dear Leigh Ann:
I offered to help with writing and research a couple of months ago through the volunteer section of the main page, but I never received a reply. I would be happy to write articles that are research based. I have edited a couple of newsletters and am currently in a graduate writing class. Let me know if you could use my services. Tricia E.
