The good news is, you'll get better...regardless of your current ability.
I learned a ton from that course. I'm a sllllooooowwwww person (I procrastinate), so I'm still taking the course after a couple of years. I often use the resources and review my course manual.
Actually, one of my early assignments was just published (with a LOT of editing to meet the publishers criteria).
Anyway, good luck with it...enjoy!

no I have never seen that site. I love writing and I hope I can get published. I am very early on in the course so I am not sure how good I really am, but I hope they like what I write.

I have just started a children writing class through the Childrens Institute of Literature. I have sent in my first assignment and have started my second.

Go to http://www.bn.com and click on Barnes and Noble University.
There's a good 'Writing for Cash' class listed. And it's FREEEEEEEEEE!
All the classes are free there.
Also, there are classes (not free) but CHEAP!!!! at wvu.org - which is Writer's Virtual University.
