Back On Track Together
Goals for May and week of May 3rd.
My goal this week is eat more veggies and less carbs and continue with protein 1st. I also want to continue with my exercising 5 or more days per week. Absolutely no fast foods this week
My May goal is to lose 8 pounds. To make this happen I have to be more mindful of my food choices, meaning make healthier food choices most days and keep exercise steady. I will be visiting my very 1st TOPS meeting this week also.
In the month of April I exercised 5 days for 2 weeks and 6 days the other 2 weeks and did not lose a pound for the month. I did maintain so I am happy no overall gain and I am still down 8 pounds since vowing to get back on track in March.
I am also very proud that I made it back to the health club in April finally after not going there in over a year.
1st day back was April 22nd. I was glad to see old faces and they welcomed me back without too many questions and once I went back that 1st day it was like I had never stopped. Of course my body said otherwise! lol!
It is a good pain though. The 1st day broke the ice for me and I was back on gear. The machines work better than anything I can do at home, especially when it comes to strenght training.
Goal regarding gym is to get there at least 3 days a week.
Enough about me, does anyone want to share their goals for the week and/or month? It helps putting it in writing. What about your successes for the month of April? Sharing helps us who need some inspiration.
Have a good week!!

Have a good week!! My goals are ongoing. I gained 10 lbs - and I want to lose that. The weight is OK, and i am still size 6, but I do not like myself at this weight. I can feel the extra fat. And I am getting "flabby".
i do not exercise much and it shows. I need to change that.
also - last 2 months I was drinking too much. Way to much. I think my hormones are off - I know they are - so now I start normalizing my hormones and hopefully the need for alcohol will go away. One day at a time. The problem is that I really like red wine. I like the taste of it - but I do not like getting drunk. And it does not take much. So - I tried and bought a alcohol free wine - and I really liked it - until my BS dropped. Unfortunately - the alcohol free wine has too much sugar and with reactive hypoglycemia - it is a big no-no for me. So - I will need not to have any...bummer.
Why did I started drinking - well - I was having problem with pain after eating - and I noticed that if I sip wine or any other alcohol - the cramps stopped. Not much was needed. lol. But then - not much was needed to feel intoxicated. That part I did not like.
So - the next 1-2 months goals:
1. stop drinking
2. loose 10 lbs (at least 5)
3. work on my hormones
4. maintain nice house
5. work on de-cluttering the house (will probably take 3-6 months - I am a pack rat)
I think my goals are doable - just take time and energy. Since I am giving up drinking and dating - I will have more time in evenings to do other things.
