Back On Track Together
Info on daily counts for protein, fat, and carbs?
I know i recently read this info somewhere in here, but now I can't find it. I am on day 2 of successfully getting BOT! whoop whoop ..yay me!! In doing so I am tracking everything I put up to my chompers!! I know we need lots of protein, but looking for advice from those who have gotten BOT and lost the regained weight...do you have a range of protein, fat, and carbs (in grams) that you shoot for each day?
What works for me is this: I keep my carbs below 100, my protein between 90-100, my fats under 30 and my sugars under 20 a day. I drink all my fluids and take all my vitamins. I make sure that my carbs come from green vegetables, whole wheat grains, milk and cheese. So far, I have lost 55 lbs. of a 70 lb. regain in a little over six months doing this. I walk everyday. I hope this info can help you keep on track and find the path that works for you.
Tess!! You are awesome! This is exactly what I was looking for. Today went great. I think I may have eaten a bit too much fat, but my carbs were low and protein was high...sugar was next to nothing. I will have something to shoot for tomorrow. This definitely helps...today I am on the path...tomorrow I will focus to stay on it!!!
for me i count protein and kept carbs to under 40g but i never counted fat because i find fat keeps me full longer...
now im slowly adding in a few carbs but very slowly

Counting carbs is tricky. there are some carbs that we need - like fiber... or other slow carbs, (that do not raise the blood sugar level),
I try to get 120-150 gr of proteins (based on my blood test - I need that much to have mid normal protein levels), then I try to make sure that none of my meals (6) have more net carbs than proteins. Usually less. I do not count fats.
I do try to get no more than 1200 cal per day. Fat keeps me full and belly happy. Also helps with BM... When things are not "moving" the toxin build-up can offset the good nutrition... and the body have more time to absorb all what it can from what we eat (gets very very efficient with calorie storage)
