I'm having an 'oral fixation' issue the later afternoon to late evening. I'm not hungry, but I want to chew on something. Have any of you had this problem and what do you use/do to get over it without adding food/calories?
Thanks!

Drinking bit more water (flavored) or green tea helps more.
Some people like the raw carrots. Better - if you like it - may be raw celery.
I used celery as a crunch item in protein soups. It felt like I was eating something but celery has virtually zero calories. I also use fresh cucumbers for that. They are mostly water - so little calories that they do not "count" NSA pickles can be also used for that.
BTW: your fat looks little bit low- IMO... you may safely remove some carbs - and add a bit more fat. (I do)

I'm not a huge raw celery fan, but I love fresh cucumbers and raw carrots. I will definitely add those to my arsenal.
Thanks!

Carrots are OK - but then again - they do have sugar - so easy on them. Too many carbs.
PS: I can't eat raw carrots - steak - fine - raw carrots - gets stuck every time, no matter how long or fine I chew them. It is the weirdest thing with my pouch.

I really wish I could figure out what is wrong with my body! I am bloated and "puffy" in my abdominal area and for the life of me cannot get off these extra pounds! Iv'e been eating 1000-1200calories a day and running or bike riding for an hour atleast 4 times a week. My pcp thinks that 1200 cals is too low for me. I am very confused and discouraged. my protein is usually 80-100 grams a day. Any suggestions?
B: Greek yogurt plain with splenda or a protein shake, I only do 4 oz. protein shakes
S: boiled egg w/ lf string cheese or a protein bar
L: Protein bar or shake
S: Skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks
D:Chicken breast with frozen broccoli a little butter and salt on it.
S:almonds and 30 minutes after I have green tea
on occasion I will eat a peice of fruit but not often
Thank you for your help!
It looks like your body may be fighting you also. All I know to do is just keep doing what you are doing. I am looking at this as maintenance practice for myself and eventually, my body may let me go down another ten pounds.
I think the only way I am going to get the remainder of my weight off is to up my exercise and for now, I am not ready to commit to two hours a day exercise.
I wish I could offer you more but I understand what you are going through. Just keep posting and hopefully something that you do or eat will trigger your body that it is okay to drop a few pounds.

Tess
