Back On Track Together
Sunday, August 18th, Cardio & Cafe
Good evening, BOTT friends,
Back from my whirlwind overnighter. 500 miles round trip, great hotel, great sights and back home in a little under 27 hrs. Too short, but will have to suffice for now. I stayed true to my eating plan (for the most part), but indulged in pistachios and grapes (not too badly). I ordered room service, and considered the blackened maui maui, but settled on an Angus beef burger on a freshly baked brioche bun, and a mesclun mix salad with French dressing.
I took a tiny bite of the bun (it was HEAVENLY), picked it up, and tossed it in the trash! That way, I knew I wouldn't be tempted to eat more of it. I had brought my whole wheat sandwich thins, so I put the burger on that, and it was still mouth-watering. I ate it in 2 sittings because it was way too big for one meal. Finished it at 1 am while watching a movie. I was under 1600 calories for the day, and felt great that I was able to say no while enjoying myself on this mini getaway.
There was a great gym available, but no recumbent bike so I didn't get a workout in. I didn't eat again until arriving home this afternoon, and got my bike workout in this evening for 31 minutes, covering 4 miles. Today I ate:
B: none
L: 2 small grilled chicken legs and 1/2 thigh (skinless)
S: Iced coffee with Splenda, 6 tbsps light half & half, 4 tbsps Cool Whip Free
D: 5 ozs leftover homemade meatballs with marinara, 1 slice hot pepper cheese, 1 c Brussels sprouts, 2 tsps butter sub
Goodnight friends :)
so cool.. I can't wait to go on my vac in 2 weeks..
