Back On Track Together
Just to say HI
Hi all. I just joined the group. I am two years post op (almost to the day). I have noticed in the last few months that doing what I always did is not enough and I have gained 5 lbs that I can't drop since my lowest of 135. I'm too close to surgery to just accept this and I want to get on it ASAP so that I don't continue to gain and have it get away from me. I learned so much from the RNY board in the year plus after my surgery. So here I am planning to get "back on track" with you all.
I'll be honest, most days I follow my plan 99% to the T. I still eat mostly protein and veggies, follow the rules, etc. So I'm frustrated that weight is starting to come back on and very fearful for what the future holds. I do tend to eat a bit more fat (salad dressings usually) than I should at times and I realize that could be a huge downfall....so I am committing to working on that and increasing my exercise.
Thanks for reading!!!
Welcome. I know how frustrating it can be... I am on my last 5 lbs regain I want to lose and it seamsd like an uphill battle. I lose 2 gain 3, lose that one, gain 2.. But I know if I really follow what works for me - I can lose it.
I also had RNY and over the years I realized that fat is not my problem. But carbs are. Even the so called good carbs - they are the issue for me. If I eat them - I want more and more...
If I don't - I am much better.
Good luck. Follow plan that you know works for you.
