118.2 - sticking here for the last few days. Funny how I was preferring 119-120, but now am nervous at 118.2 because it is higher than I was hovering for a few weeks. Weird how the mind works.
Hoping for pictures on TT of Peps and DD's meetup! Of course they got along famously!
No beach yesterday as when we arrived there (on the National Seashore/ocean side) it was cloudy and windy. Too bad we didn't stay another hour or so because the clouds did clear up. But we did watch the water for a few minutes. Amazing how massive the waves were and how far up the beach the water went. Hopefully no one ventured in to swim.
We did go to the music venue, then out to a close by restaurant to have hearty appetizers as our meal. I had amazing tuna tartare - so, so tasty and a huge serving.
Since we didn't eat the leftovers yesterday, they are our meal for tonight. Lobster salad for me with a couple of caprese tomato slices and corn on the cob. Yum!
Daytime plans are unknown - right now it is drizzly out though it is supposed to clear by midday. Justice will have to wait for his long walk.
Have a mindful Monday!

DH and I had the best time meeting up with Peps. Highly recommend. :) I posted several pictures on TT when I got home (we shut the place down!) but they are still pending. That hasn't happened to me before? New phone perhaps? Hopefully Ocean Diane will see it and work whatever admin magic is needed to make them appear.
Or Peps, if you see this, maybe they will post for you?
Well here is what you would've read last night if my post went through: Fabulous meet up with Devon. We closed the restaurant down. I felt we could have talked for hours more. Devon is as fun, thoughtful, informed and handsome as you would expect.
DH having now met 2 group members is intrigued by our vibe. Its hard to put into words exactly, as I told him everyone in the group is consistently kind and supportive, but also can tell you a truth if you need it, without shaming you. We understand each other's struggles. In the weight loss battle, we've all lost some skirmishes from time to time, but none of us will give up. We get wounded, maybe even sit it out for awhile, but then we get up and get back at it. And we LOL a lot at each other's observations.
So we really do need a group get together at CCs. My first proposal is November, since I currently have no trip planned for that month. Although maybe November is not good for Paula with her closing on her house. Otherwise, I'm open again in the spring, starting in April.
I'm on the porch eating tirimisu from last evening, (is there protein in the marscapone?) and I just saw a school bus drive by. No kids yet, they start after Labor Day, but the drivers are practicing their routes. Its chilly out here, but I'm not complaining, because I have a blanket and warm tea. The sun is bright and the sky is a brilliant blue.
DH is at a doctor's appointment. Starting September 1, he is on Medicare and off Zepbound. He's going to ask about Metformin, although we know it doesn't have nearly the power of the GLPs.
I'll continue getting ready for my travels, and the usual maintenance type of housekeeping and yard work. Not a bad gig at all on this, the first day of the new school year for teachers.
I may have flexibility in November other than Thanksgiving week and possibly the weekend before Veterans Day (my DD and DSIL often visit that weekend). April and May are definitely open and the rest of summer after the first 2 weeks of June.

120.2 or maybe 120.4, I can't remember.
Busy, busy, busy! Tomorrow we will try to go kayaking, probably the last time in WI (at least with our own gear).
Haircut today and will work in the church garden tonight. FFY (fend for yourself) for dinner as DH is golfing and I will be at the garden. We have leftover chicken enchiladas that I made yesterday. Also bought some shrimp and fake crab ****tail to munch on!
FFY! I will have to remember that one!

DH just got back from his annual physical. He was asked to draw a clock. He showed me his drawing, and said, I added a second hand for fun. : ) Then he told the doctor, a better test of my cognitive skills would be to tell me to lay down my car keys somewhere, and then ask me in 10 minutes to find them. LOL.
