118 - no damage from our trip. I do seem to be fairly self-regulating. So weird but nice.

Today is laundry and packing day, though most of it is done. I will be bringing one checked bag, one carryon for the overhead compartment, and Justice. He counts as my personal item so my book, glasses, phone, etc have to go into his bag. The only things I am worried about not fitting in are shoes, but DH can bring them when he comes on 9/23 if I can't fit them.

I ordered my new iPad to be delivered tomorrow in Florida. I already got a small piece of glass stuck in my finger from the broken screen so realized that I can't keep using it this way. I think it might actually fall out in chunks if I am not careful so I have to use it very gingerly today.

Chilly again this morning, so I am looking forward to the warm mornings after tomorrow. Justice will be thrilled as he has been chasing patches on sunshine a lot lately to keep warm.

Have a fulfilling Friday!

I am so in love with retirement right now! Rockport MA makes me so happy. Yesterday we went to Gloucester, which is right next door, but a bigger city. There is a hotel with an incredible ocean side patio where we had lunch. $ years ago, we tried to have dinner on this patio for my 60th birthday, but it rained. We had a delightful lunch there yesterday.

The Irish music concert we attended in the evening was gorgeous and moving. Live music feeds my soul. Leaving the theater, I felt so fortunate to have these experiences.

Today we had another slow morning. I woke up at 8am. These slow mornings, I wait for DH to wake up so I can raise the blind, and admire the ocean view from the bed. Today I did the same. Once we got going, we made a simple breakfast, and then went to our all time favirote east coast restaurant, My Place by the Sea. It was A LOT easier to get into in September than during July. It opens at 11:30am, and during the summer, a line starts forming for lunch around 10:45am. Lunch is first come, first serve. For dinner, they don;t take reservations over the phone, you have to show up in person, and they start taking names at noon. During the summer, the reservation request line for dinner starts forming around 11am. Nothing like that was happening today. Further confirming my feeling that September is the best time to travel. Anyhow, we got what we believe is the best table on their deck, and were very happy.

It's warm in the sun today, and coolish in the shade. We are thinking about taking some beach chairs down to the beach and enjoying a bit of sun. There are still some shops we like that we haven't visited yet also.

Unlike Liz, I suspect that some damage weight wise is occurring. DH concedes he needs to diet if he is going to tske off the last 10 pounds he wants to lose, and he is planning on doing that once this trip is completed. I suspect I may have to join him in this quest.

Tomorrow we leave to meet up with our friends in the Finger Lakes region for a couple of days. I will be sad to say goodbye to the coast, but I am looking forward to new experiences and hanging with our friends.

I love that you are enjoying retirement so much! I haven't been to that area in a long time. We will definitely have to do a day trip there but it sounds like waiting until off-season would be our best bet.

124.8. I'm eating everything in site. Food noise is horrible. I have eaten theater sized boxes of candy the last 2 days and DH and I are both hitting the ice cream. Funny thing is I have not eaten candy like that for well over a year! Thankfully I still can't overeat in the amount of food I consume in a given setting. I will need to start back on my shot soon. Problem is where to inject? Right now my belly and thighs are so tight that I wouldn't be able to get a fold of skin to use. Perhaps in the love handle area. I never did master injecting in the arm.

Today was busy with virtual house visits. We had two we liked and about 4 we said no to. We will do more virtual visits on Sunday and Monday. This will help us greatly in narrowing down actual visits once we get there!

Glad you and Justice get to return to Florida soon Liz!

DD, I'm so happy you are enjoying your slower paced vacation with DH and that retirement is going so well for you!

CC, we miss you!

Peps is busy with a dog show I think and I bet Diane is walking the treadmill, at the gallery or shopping the hippy dippy deli! We shall see when she checks in!

It never occurred to me that your surgery would eliminate some injection sites for a while. Maybe DH can do your arm? Interesting too that the food noise has gotten so loud. Maybe partially because your body is calling for more as it is healing?

How do you do a virtual visit? Does the realtor just video it or is it a FaceTime-like walk around?

It didn't occur to be either that I wouldn't be able to inject in my normal spots. I promised DH that I would wait at least another week, maybe 2 to inject. I do know that my body needs the extra calories for healing right now.

We did the virtual home visits via Zoom. Worked pretty well. Probably the only good thing to come from Covid is we all learned how to communicate virtually!

I also felt like some places were cleaner for a while (though it seems to be trailing off these days).
