117.6 for the third day in a row.

I did yoga yesterday, then got my 3 shots. The RSV arm seems quite sore this morning. I am debating about going to water aerobics this morning.

Someone hit the taillight on the loaner car we had for Thursday to Friday while our car was serviced. It happened in the parking lot at our Club and no one left a note! On any other day someone probably would have seen it as it was parked close to the bag drop for golf but the golf courses were closed due to the rain so there weren't too many people around. Weird accident too in that the taillight is fairly high and it is the only part of the car that got damaged. Must have been the corner of a bumper on a high truck or a side mirror. A $1000 cost which we are responsible for. DH was in a mood about that yesterday.

We went to the Beach Club on our way back from getting the car and paying that bill and had dinner off of the Happy Hour menu. Because of the weather we were the only people there. We were out of the rain but still had a nice view of the water and I had some great mussels.

Today appears to be drier than the last week plus has been - only a 55% chance of showers vs 96-100%. But cloudy. The only currently planned activity is water aerobics if my arm allows for it. But first a Justice walk during which I shall assess arm functionality.

Have a sunny Saturday!

The trials of homeownership continue... I have a leak with 3 days of rain remaining in this storm. This stucco ledge on the roof deck has failed and is mushy, leaking into my bedroom and the cat patio underneath.

The roofers come Monday morning to give a repair estimate. Argh. I have it covered with tarps, the the design of this section is terrible as the connected roof section to the left drains to this stucco part. So even covered I have barely slept in two nights as the leak in my bedroom moves around requiring bucket roulette.

So not much else happening here and very little cognitive function with the lack of sleep! No rain for a few hours, so I'm going to nap if Kirby lets me. The little stinker is well rested and wants to play!

Rats!!! When it rains, it pours? By 2030 I think you will have repaired something in every part of your house. The previous owners apparently weren't into maintenance as much as they should have been. You will restore your resort to it's intended glory!

Sorry about the leak! What a pain! Hopefully you get a snooze in. Our dogs love to nap with us!

Oh no! Hopefully they can improve the drainage design on the roof when they repair it?

HOME!!!!

Was wonderful to see my pack and be in my own digs! Buster and Grizz were so, so happy to be home, too!

Drove 778 miles yesterday. Two dog walking stops, a stop to check out the Bonneville Salt Flats, and two gas and food stops. Dropped the 5 Cairn Terriers off in Acampo, which was about a 45 minute detour. Arrived home at 11 PM. 16 hours on the road! I took a gummy before going to bed and slept well, but I feel a bit done in this morning!

Even with the water retention from 5 days of sitting in the car I braved the scale. 209 on the dot. I'm perfectly okay with that number. I'd been dancing between 204-206 for several weeks, so a minor jump up to 209 seems reasonable to me.

I need to take stock of the upcoming 2.5 months and create a schedule. I did call the PS to see if my surgery could be moved from Jan 7 to December 3. Fingers crossed.

I have to get ready to run off to a club luncheon... Perhaps more later when I'm a bit more coherent!

Welcome Home! That was quite an odyssey yesterday. I would have loved to see the dog walking part. How long does that take? How many dogs could you walk at one time?

I walked no more than 3 at a time. Buster and Grizz were a pair (as usual), then the two feral Cairn puppies were another pair. The 3 older adult Cairns I walked as a threesome. With three of us sharing walking/potty duty it really only took about 20 minutes to get all 12 dogs walked a pottied. Though, admittedly, I got up and out earlier than my traveling companions so that my dogs could have a nice proper walk by themselves before getting in the van for the day.

"A bit done in"? I would be completely wiped out after all the traveling you did. Are you going to stay put for a while?

Yes! No more road trips until January. And that will be to Palm Springs which is an 8-9 hour drive with no time changes! Then I have no long hauls until March.
