123.4 - unchanged. I guess the cruise weight is not going to go away easily. I may increase my tirzepatide dose a bit for a while. I was way too hungry yesterday.

I didn't do much during the day yesterday other than put the guest room back together and make a beef stew for consumption over the next 2-3 nights. The rest of the time I spent reading until I went to the Tennis Tournament fashion show (and dinner) last night. Nice event though most people were more dressed up than I was. I was feeling so cold yesterday that I wore pants, boots and my heaviest sweater.

DS got home to Portland by 10 yesterday and retrieved his car from the towing company by noon. What a racquet! $215 for one day.

Busy day today. I have golf at 9:30, a meeting about a golf function I am running at the end of February at 12:30, osteoporosis shot #3 at 1:30, then volunteering at the tennis tournament from 2:45-6:45. I expect to be frozen by the end of that time. We will have the beef stew I made yesterday for dinner.

Have a terrific Thursday!

You do have a busy day Liz! I don't think I could keep up with you!

120.4. I didn't check in yesterday but got caught up with you all this morning.

Went to the oral surgeon for a consult yesterday and will have my tooth extracted next Friday. The infection is bad, going into my sinus cavity. I'm not having pain thankfully but the level of infection might explain my fatigue. My poor body is working overtime trying to fight it! I did a 10 day round of antibiotics already and will start another one on Sunday.

Today I will have my phone in Bible study. Later we will head out to Sanibel so I can hopefully get some Florida bird, beach and sunset pictures. I need to increase my stock of FL pics if I'm going to try to sell at the antique/flea market vendor booth.

Time to hop in the shower before my Bible study, not that they can see me!

That's does sound like a nasty infection! I am surprised it doesn't hurt and your face isn't swollen.

196.2. The play date went well. He brought a different one of their dogs, the matriarch, who they thought would be a better starter dog. He did great. There was only one correction she gave him when he tried to mount her and it wasn't harsh, but definitely relayed her message. He didn't try again! Next time he said he'd bring Snoop.

The HOA meeting was long, but at the end there was some nice feedback from two homeowners who attended and were appreciative of our efforts. One guy was a challenge, but I understand his frustration. He's the lowest lot in the development and is having trouble with storm water rushing from other lots and blowing out his drainage culverts. He's spent $100k fixing it and isn't convinced it won't happen again and so wanted to know about liability of the HOA versus him if he diverts the water and it washes out a national forest trail that abuts his house. He was a bit forceful and I was glad not to be president in that moment...

Today a metal fabricator is coming to give me a quote on a new entry gate. I have one other quote, but this is something I know nothing about so I want it done correctly, aesthetically, and not to overpay.

Then one of the other board members wants me to go with him to the pump house (where our well equipment is) to assess the condition of an old golf cart that's in there from when the developer was originally selling lots and driving prospective buyers around. It's old and probably just needs to be given away if we can find someone to take it. Which makes me think of Paula - did you get your cart issues sorted?

The hvac people called back and said it won't be as easy as they thought to get me new thermostats because of the off-brand heat pumps the Kimbles put in. Kimbled again!!

Anyway, that's me! Take care and have a great day!

Always seems to be some kind of "Kimble" popping up for you. That stinks!

We have not yet sorted out or golf cart issue. We are awaiting a call from the GM and he was out of town until this Wednesday I think working the PGA in Orlando I think. We were going to give him a few days to let the dust settle but plan to call tomorrow or Monday if we don't hear from him.

Im glad the play dates are going well! Such a good boy!

200.6 - basically unchanged from yesterday.

Well, I got a little bee in my bonnet and worked a good long time on my much neglected office. I also decided to purge some more old suits/sport coats and slacks that I have been holding on to in hopes of wearing again. However, I decided I don't plan to ever be small enough again to wear the smallest of the collection, so they all got taken out of the office closet and folded and will go to Goodwill today or tomorrow.

A full-ish day for me. A dad visit while Ron is at his workout. Then after lunch I will take Ron to get a mani pedi for his b'day today. We also have reservations for dinner at a place in Crockett called The Dead Fish. Good food and a wonderful view. Ron loves seafood! Sadly, his b'day present has not arrived due to the winter weather across the rest of the country. C'est la Vie.

Alaska Airlines has cancelled all dogs flown in baggage to the Metro NY area through the February 3. Not good for the Westiminster bound dog show people. I have a feeling there will be a lot of absentees due to the extreme weather on the east coast. Glad I was not planning on going!

Liz, hope you are not exhausted by the end of the day. That's a lot to fit in. Hope the tennis gig is fun. What are you doing?

CC, I hear you on the joys of not being president of the HOA! Being president of the national Airedale club has its moments to be sure! LOL! Good luck on the gate. I like that you call your house woes "Being Kimballed"! That's funny!

Paula, are you still doing bible study with your Wisconsin peeps? Or is it a Florida thing to call in for bible study?

Diane S. perhaps you'll have to host Scrabble for a while? Hope your hostess recovers quickly and that the docs figure out what is causing the pain!

DD, continue teasing me with the photos of all the delicious Brazilian treats you and Pat are sampling! I am loving the photo journaling of your time in Brazil!

Time to feed the beasts!

Thrive!

Happy Birthday to Ron! I hope you have a good dinner out together.

I am selling shirts, hats and tennis clothing at the tournament. DH is doing court maintenance. All is outside so I am a bit nervous about how cold it may end up being especially since our shift goes until 7:45 so the sun will be down.

Peps I did the same thing this summer with clothes. I went through the pile of when I'm thinner clothes and decided there was little chance I would get into the smallest ones I had saved. And if I was ever that small again, there would be lots of nice clothes I could buy for good prices at clearance sales and consignment shops. I released them into the universe (aka St. Vincent de Paul's Thrift Store) and felt lighter.

Call in Bible study with the WI peeps. Have not started one here yet but plan to. I called to register DH and I for the 55 plus Bible study group through our church but they are currently on hold as the leader had a heart attack over the Holidays and is still up north with his kids recovering.

Have fun celebrating Ron today! Hope your visit with your Dad went better today!
