I think the risk is that teeth surrounding the missing tooth may move and also maybe bone loss/gum issues? Might be more of a risk for DC1 because of their age than us older folks. We went through this discussion when deceased DH got an implant (which in retrospect we shouldn't have done given his diagnosis but didn't really think through that).

Yeah, I plan on getting the implant!

DS had his car towed because the young man in his apartment building who agreed to move the car messed up. DS had left his keys with him and the agreement was that if it snowed and the parking lot had to be plowed, he would clean the car and move it out of the parking lot. Apparently he cleaned the car but delayed moving it because he thought the plows were coming later than they did.

Funny that DH and I were just discussing possibly staying on Sanibel on the way back from the Keys on 2/14 so we can see what has changed. We did drive through the year after the hurricane (Ian hit in September 2022 which also wiped out a lot of Fort Myers beach). In 2023, the damaged buildings had been removed and most of the remaining ones repaired but there were a lot of missing structures. Also, where there had been lush greenery it was all brown.

Still lots of dead trees on Sanibel but overall it looked pretty good.
