Saturday, February 14, 2026 - Valentines Day

119.8 - up .6 due to eating wonderful tapas for lunch yesterday. We returned to the place we went to in Key West last week. So good! I wish we had a place like that near our home.

We also returned to a bar we had been to last week because the same female singer was there. A lot of regulars were present specifically to hear her. Tons of local talent in the Keys, but it makes sense as it is such a cool place to live.

No more deer views since we are leaving in a couple of hours. I am sad to go but looking forward to being back home tomorrow. We drive to Captiva this morning probably arriving early afternoon. Tonight we are going to an iconic restaurant called The Bubble Room for Valentines Dinner. It doesn't take reservations so I expect we will have to wait quite a bit. Maybe we should do the early dinner thing again? I wouldn't mind as I have been wide awake since 4 am so expect to be tired tonight.

192 We had bbq last night. I didn't eat much, but I think the salt makes a big difference.

Today the helper guy who works for my designers is coming by to hang my new mirror. Nice of him to take time from his hiking trip to do it! Normally they are down in Scottsdale, two hours away, so it would be a big ask to get them to come up specially for this.

Though chilly this morning, it's bright and sunny today, so I imagine the snowbirds will enjoy some time outside in between watching golf. I need to pick up a few extras at the market and return a couple of failed online shopping packages at the post office.
