Not required to have a membership but it would be nice for DH and some of the other communities we are looking at are far less expensive.

Are you required to have a golf membership in that community? We have a club membership here but it is not required and a fair number of the people who live here do not have one. Most of the golf club memberships around here are pretty similar in price.

121.5. Not sure why I'm going down. Seems like I am eating a lot. I stopped tracking food with the surgery though.

Well, our house options just dropped to 6! One community where we had 3 potential houses was dropped today when we found out the initiation fee for a golf membership was $80,000 and the monthly fees for golf were $986/mo. The HOA fees were about $600 per month and don't even include lawn care! No thank you! Too bad because I did like some of the houses!

We are getting a little nervous that our buyers, buyer is not getting any offers. Each cog in the chain needs to work for this to happen! Our buyer is opening their property up to other offers, so maybe something will pan out there. DH gets so anxious with all the unknowns!

Hello Fresh Turkey and bean chili for dinner tonight! Should be good!

Hope you do get a beach day Liz! I agree, attending SIL's birthday celebration is a must. We just never know when it is our ( or another's) time!

Quiet day yesterday. I tweaked the furniture and moved the pictures over the couch so they are centered. I only went out to walk Justice and food shop. I bought a rotisserie chicken, pulled all the meat off, and mixed it with a can of Rotel tomatoes and cumin. Great dinner!

Today I have yoga and Justice needs blood work done prior to his annual teeth cleaning next week. Maybe it will be sunny enough to go to the Beach Club or the pool here. Likely I will go to Happy Hour tonight and probably eat 1/2 burger at the club (and save the other half for another meal). I only have 3 more nights before DH arrives to figure food out for.

Speaking of which, other than DH staying with the grandchildren this week, it turns out there is no real reason for him not to be here in Florida with me as he has not felt good about his golf game so doesn't plan to play until he is back here. He was originally only coming for a few days next week, then going back north until 10/7 (I was going north for SIL's birthday from 10/4-10/7). Due to logistics around the birthday party and his not playing golf we may just both fly back 10/2-10/7, so we will be doing the rest of the traveling together.

It has felt very important to celebrate SIL's 75th birthday with her after seeing her so ill this year. I hate to think it but it somewhat reminds me of how critical DS felt it was to have a birthday party for his Dad in his last fall. Somehow we all felt it might be his last.

Time to get in gear for the morning walk. Have a finicky Friday!

When I have had furniture delivered without that designation they unpack it and put it in place but no white gloves on puffing and smoothing everything. Was kind of funny until it got annoying. Came with the purchase (from Pottery Barn).

That Ninja Creami sounds great! I am going to pass the info onto DSD who was very intrigued when I told her what you had said about them when you bought it.

Greetings all

Overcast day here which makes me feel slower than usual. TWO cups of coffee which I hardly ever do. Errands to run so I will go out shortly.

Yikes Liz that sofa delivery sounds like a nightmare for both you and deliverers. It always makes me tense to have people around doing stuff like that even though it is no work for me. So what is a non white glove delivery? Maybe don't want to know. Anyway your room looks great and all of that will be useful and nice for a very long time.

So DH finally cranked up the Ninja Creami last night. I had mixed the stuff a couple of weeks ago but was holding out to make him operate the thing and maybe learn to make some healthy food like protein ice cream. This one is banana sorbet made from nothing but bananas. Worked out great. It really is like a soft serve in texture. I think it just mixes solid frozen stuff at a million miles per hour. It sounds like a combination of a jet engine and dentist drill but it only takes a couple of minutes to mix up. So I now must find recipes. The container makes about 2-3 cups of stuff so figuring out smaller amounts will also be the next thing. Overall, a success.

Paula good to hear the incisions are doing well. Keep that up. And find a house.

I have decided to cook some barley to go with the remainder of the pot roast. But I think the dogs are going to get lucky with the last of it.

I am pretty sure one of them was letting all the swears out while they were in the stairwell (it was in a different language so I can't be sure). He was super irritated at several points. I gave him a great review because they worked really hard and everything got here properly. But he did show his annoyance pretty obviously so I wonder if doing these "white glove" deliveries is appropriate for him.

My legs/groin feel so much better now that the stitches and staples are out. Still have swelling but I just switched to a compression pantyhose type garment. Easier than the 4 Ace wraps I was doing.

Trying to have a restful day with my legs up. May work a little on finishing up the kid's scrapbooks. They will need to take ownership of them before we move.

Tonight will be Hello Fresh Asian soy chicken with green beans and rice.

Hope you do get to have a beach day Liz! That sofa sleeper saga is crazy! I bet the guys were swearing under their breath! Funny that the supervisor was being so picky, but good customer service!

117.6

What a day yesterday was! Good thing after all that I did the furniture/rug moving the day before because my furniture came about 1.5 hours early. I just had time to change out of my bathing suit after water aerobics but not to shower.

So, the loveseat came up the elevator to our 3rd floor condo but the very large, very heavy sleep sofa wouldn't fit. The stairs consist of 4 sets of 8 stairs with a turn between each. It took the movers almost an hour to get it up and at one point they almost gave up. The guy wanted me to sign a waiver of liability to go further because he thought it was stuck. I looked at it and suggested that they angle it a different way which worked and they managed it the rest of the way with a lot of grunting (I wasn't going to sign a waiver but didn't need to in the end). They really should have had a third guy to help because it had to come up vertically so the guy at the bottom had all the weight. It was a "white glove" delivery so they literally puffed up all the cushions and smoothed down the slipcovers with white gloves on. It looked great but when they sent pictures to their supervisor they were told to steam the covers. The same thing happened when I got my chairs last year. But the supervisor kept not being satisfied though I thought they looked great. This process went on for an hour until I told them to tell the supervisor that I was happy with how they looked and I needed them to leave so I could shower and get to a meeting. 2 1/4 hours for 2 couches to be delivered!

Anyway, they are here and I really like them. I need to fine-tune the placement of the furniture, then move the pictures behind the couch but that is just me being finicky.

Nothing specific planned for today, though I may make a call about having my kitchen counters buffed up. Then I am done tweaking things around here (for now).

I wi**** was going to be a beach day, but I don't think so. But you never know here. The forecast is always just a guess in Florida,

Have a thunderous Thursday!
