Paula, all your news is so good--especially the "healthiest patient of the day" award and your doc taking you off the beta blocker. BTW, I just put dried mangoes on my grocery list. Thanks for that.

I wish I could see my hairdresser only every three months. I stretch mine to every 5 weeks, and that's not a small chunk of change.

Sorry you had all the dental hoopla but no good outcome. Does your dentist have to send out for your crown? Mine used to, but now they make them right in the office with a 3 D type printer.
Oh, you don't know me very well! I am such a rule follower! My coworkers used to call me "By The Book Paula!". Fun fact though, I sometimes cheat at crossword by Googling the answer!
Greetings all
It's sunny and nice here. I started the day rooting through drawers for something to wear that is presentable and lo! found a nice knit top that is years old but I forgot I had. I can't figure out how that happened because I don't have all that much in the way of clothing. Go figure.
So after that positive note, I went to the dentist to get the new crown installed. Easy right? Wrong. The crown was not shaped right and dentist tried but could not get it to fit. So after much fooling around the temporary crown went back on and a new one must be remade. So 45 minutes in the chair for nothing. Amazingly it was not too miserable.
After that there was the lunch ladies meet up. We went to a Mexican place that is very humble and also very authentic. There was a condiments bar with interesting looking things. It was fun. I ordered beans and rice due to the morning of mouth excavation. All the other stuff looked great. After that it was studio time for a load of glazing. Go it all done so there is more stuff for next week. I work again tomorrow afternoon. These past few days I have been gym-delinquent and must get back this weekend. DD and Peps you will find that minimal tasks expand to take up your time.
And DD sorry yesterday was rough for you. It is unfortunate that some older people descend into crankiness. Wishing the best for your friend's husband.
Peps thanks for the food porn. It all looks great. What is the orange soup? I agree with DD - eat what you want and don't worry.
Liz sorry your SIL is not doing well. Hope you can help her with a dress. Sounds like this trip will be hard for her.
So the lunch ladies was a reminder of aging issues. Several of us hobbled in and much of the discussion was of health issues and having to travel out of town for treatment. Yuck.
Not sure what is for dinner here tonight. Might be more refried beans for this dental cripple.

And I'm sorry about your roommate's husband. Cancer is such a horrible reminder to live every day to it's fullest.

I purposely don't have my "read" receipts turned on for texts. It's no one's business whether I've read it or not! My reply will indicate whether or not I got it...
123.9. The increased dose of T seems to be doing the trick. Feeling more full. Some food noise but manageable.
Cloudy, warm day with some spitting rain so far but looks like it could downpour soon.
Helped out in my former church's garden for the first time this year. 2 1/2 hours of pulling weeds! I'm betting I will be sore tomorrow. I said I would help out here and there but didn't want to commit to weekly garden duty since DH is now home and kayak opportunities might arise! Today he went and saw the latest Mission Impossible movie and is now lamenting that his belly hurts from eating 3/4 of a bucket of movie popcorn!
Shrimp in some form for dinner tonight. I'm thinking probably stir fry as we still have leftover raw veggies from the tray I bought a bit ago. The raw veggies and dip have been a hit as a side dish though! I think I ate most of the sugar snap peas! Yum! Still plenty of peppers, broccoli and carrots to add to a stir fry. Lunch today was caprese salad. Another yum but high fat intake from the fresh mozzarella! It will all even out as the rest of the day will be low to moderate fat intake. I only noticed because I got one of those warning notifications when I entered my lunch into MyFitnessPal! It warned me that the cheese alone was going to account for about 1/2 of my day's fat allotment. I then proceeded to eat a Dove bar which didn't help matters. Most days I'm low on fat intake so I'm not concerned.
Bible study tomorrow is formally cancelled because most members are not able to attend but the few of us that can will meet for coffee and fellowship which should be fun! Lavender latte please!
Liz, we had a bit of a rushed morning, thus no post!
I signed us up for a tour of the Nürnberg (Nuremberg) that included the hidden art bunkers commissioned by Hitler. I froze. It was so cold (for me) that I was absolutely miserable the last 10-15 minutes of the tour. I was covered with goosebumps and felt like I would soon shiver. Getting back outside and into the sun was a welcome treat!
The history of Nürnberg is interesting. The city was built so strategically that until WWII when 90% of the city was destroyed by Allied bombing, Nürnberg had never burned or been breached by attackers. It was virtually impenetrable. Our tours today and yesterday were led by women from a non profit called Geschichte für Alle (History for Everyone). Not only do they offer tours for tourists, they go into the schools and teach. I'm surprised (and extremely pleased) by the German emphasis on teaching generation after generation about WWII and the horrors that stemmed from the rise of the Nazi party. Sees to me we could stand to remove the rose colored glasses so many people in our country like to wear and take a look at our own country's history. You know, in Germany it is illegal to deny the holocaust and the war crimes of Hitler's Germany. ILLEGAL!
Ron found a sausage cart in the Haupmarkt in Aldtstadt Nürnberg. The vendor spoke little English, so Ron called me over. A quick exchange later my brother and Ron were all set with their Wursts! We were back on the boat by 12:30, lunched and back in our stateroom for a nap! The life of Riley! We are cruising down the river towards our next destination.
Meals continue to be a highlight! I'm trying to remember to take pics for Diane S. LOL! I have a few more to post on TT. Hopefully, I'll remember to take pics at dinner.
Diamond D, so sorry about the events of yesterday. Your mother's text was really a not so lovely cherry to top the parfait of an already pretty dismal day.
There will be a funeral service on the 27th for my former student who was murdered last week. (did I mention that here?) I will rearrange my eye appointment so I can go. I'm still struggling to wrap my head around the randomness of his death.
Do any of us even have Hump Days anymore???? I don't think so! YAY! So, instead, Wishful Wednesday to all.
