Diane, as soon as I write a paper list, I take a photo of it with my phone. Until COVID, I kept all lists on my phone, but then went back to paper when I didn't want to touch my phone in public.

116.4 - the walking around offset the 1.5 donuts I had over the last few days. Surprising. DH is not doing his weekly weigh-in as he says he wants to get back on track. I hope he can keep out of the snacks. There is still a donut left as well as some snacks his sisters left from last weekend. I offered to trash them but he didn't want me to. Hmmm...

Easy trip back yesterday and we had leftovers from the night before we left for dinner. It started raining last night and is really cool and drippy right now. DH is supposed to golf today, but I think that will be a long shot. I will be doing laundry and taking Justice for a walk later once the rain stops. The weather forecasters promise a stellar weekend after this so we should just be happy that we are getting some rain as we need it. The storms that come through New England between fronts in the summer often bypass Cape Cod by going across the state in a northwest flow.

Not much else to report. Have a free Friday!

Temperature fluctuations like that are difficult to deal with. Overheated one day and cold the next. Yuck!

I put my lists on my phone, including packing lists for various trips which I keep and copy for trips of a similar length and type. DH is a paper list maker and often loses them LOL. The advantage of a list is so things aren't forgotten, but for me the disadvantage is that once I write it down it is as if my mind purges the information and I can't recall it without the list (so recreating it would be very difficult).

Good luck with that meeting. Wine afterwards may be needed.

Too bad you all have the fire smoke. We had some of that last week but I don't think it was as bad as you have now.

It was a great mini-trip and exactly the right length of time with the nice weather. That hotel really pleased us. Sitting on the lawn in the early evening, listening to music and watching young families with their children running around and rolling down the lawn was just precious.

On the thought of going through the whole house and purging stuff: That's what I had to do last year first to get it ready to sell, then for the final purging/packing. It was a bear to do and I felt like I should have been doing it on an ongoing basis 1-2 closets/cabinets at a time over the years so it would have been more manageable. But am I doing that now in Florida? No, of course not LOL.

And I had a Belgium waffle maker too! I think we bought it with some of our wedding funds in 1981. My younger daughter has it now after the house sale last year. She has nice memories of her Dad and I cooking waffles on weekend mornings or sometimes for dinner.

Popping in quickly from Ohio. Weather here has fluctuated wildly. Yesterday was well over 90 and HUMID. Today it barely hit 70, was rainy and felt chilly during parts of the day. Dog show is fine. Yesterday we did okay. Today we were hands down last place. As they say, another dog show. Naturally, I have discovered the local ice cream chain - Handel's. Naturally...

CC - sorry about your dad's health this year. Boooo. Not sure when you changed your avi to Kirby, but I like it!

Block Island looks like a wonderful destination!

Tsunami vs Tornado... Hmmm.... Hard pass on both for me.

We used walking sticks in grad school. Did studies on them! They really increase your workout! More similar to cross country skiing with the arm movements!

Sorry there has to be so much drama over what seems like a reasonable solution. Yes, don't forget to buy the wine!
