Your poor dad, and you! It's so hard to watch parental decline. With my aunt's dementia, my dad would get sad that she still thought their parents were alive and vacationing in Martha's Vineyard. I said it sounds like a nice world to live in, where she hasn't suffered that loss and they are coming back to her any day. So in your dad's world, he's not in a care facility stuck on the floor for hours. He's at his vacation place getting the mail and being vexed by his mailman gluing his mail together. Sounds like a nicer world to have spent the night. Though, cameras the staff could check periodically without waking him wouldn't go amiss...
The flight was uneventful and ontime. Navigating the traffic here, very eventful. Ordering party platters from Costco also eventful, but hopefully accomplished. We have a very early morning start tomorrow, due to the uncertainties of traffic. We need to be in Salem by 9:30, and we are on the other side of the city. We are allowing 2.5 hours, and hope we arrive early and can kick back and have a coffee.
More later...
Rather beautiful weeds!

Can't tell DH but you are WAY more fit than he is. He works on legs and arms but nothing else.
Geez wrote that without anything about your Dad. Don't they check at anytime during the night? It hurts thinking about your Dad there waiting for help.

Peps sorry to read this. Seems like many older people can't or won;t use the life line button. Not much to be done. ds
Not feeling the love today...
Greeted the day with news that my dad had once again been taken by ambulance to the ER. He fell at some point during the night (my brother and I suspect when he was going to bed) trying to turn off a lamp in his living room. He did not use is "Life Alert" button around his neck. He lay on the floor all night until someone found him at 5:45. Sigh... He's fine and back at home. I went to visit after lunch today and he was completely at ease, but cognitively somewhere else. He had some **** and bull story about being at his vacation place getting the mail which had been sprayed with glue and he fell, well the mailman fell because he actually did not fall, while he was trying to open the glued mail. So you see, it wasn't his fault genetically. I know well enough to just go with it, but dayum!!!! Ain't dementia grand?!?!?!?!
Still annoyed with what's his name that sits in a chair in my living room.
I've eaten a lot of crap food the past two days. LOL!
Liz, I'm envious of Mike's weight in the 190s. Not like I couldn't be there, too, but envy works for me today.
Upper grade and middle school concert tonight. Need to get my butt in gear for that.
204.4 today.
Greetings all
Sunny but windy here. I piddled around all morning getting little done. Messed around for a half hour trying to change the password on my medicare supplement account because of billing changes. I only had to talk to three different people, none of whom spoke English very well but the last one at least knew what he was doing. Then I decided to go to the nursery to get deck plants. It is so windy that the awnings covering the plants outside were really flapping and made me nervous. They had no sweet peas nor chinese chives. I got other herbs and a few bedding plants. This is a nearby nursery and I guess I have to go to a bigger on in the next town to get my sweet peas. First world problems.
Costco hot dogs! Gotta admit I have never had one. By the time I have trudged through that place I just want to escape so I never stop for one. Just as well. My treat was always the 25 cent bottled water. And yeah there are actually some good hot dogs in the world. I like the all beef ones. Used to be a gourmet hot dog stand on the plaza near my old office. Actually gourmet hog dog is probably an oxymoron.
Liz I can't imagine how your club will pull off a fancy wine and hot dog dinner but who knows. Maybe Wagyu beef hot dogs. Find out from someone what they actually serve at that event. We are curious. Does that club have a web site? Gosh Aruba already? You guys sure do a lot of fun stuff.
Not much else. I need to make a list of my summer projects and prioritize them. Monday I go to the eye doctor and must demand some new kind of glasses. My distance vision is great but close is terrible and when shopping it is disconcerting to take glasses on and off to see something 10 feet away vs 2 feet away. I had those transitions lenses for years before the cataract stuff and those worked well. Again, first world problems.

Speaking of fun, Paula enjoy all the wedding festivities. Hope the weather stays decent so all the chores are easy.
So I made the broccoli ricotta bake last night. It was ok but not great. Needs more parmesan cheese. I do think it would be quite good with spinach. I am making an effort for us to get more veggies and DH pretty much hates most of them. He will make a costco run tomorrow so I am asking for shrimp.
