As I wrote the date I realized that Paula and her DH will be Florida residents a month from now!

As you saw, I did get the boots and a hat yesterday. I got a good price on the boots which have a little interest but aren't too over the top. I ended up buying the hat because in my mind I had money left over. But especially because when I was trying it on, a young lady said that it looked really good on me LOL.

We went to a basic diner like place for breakfast yesterday when we realized at around 9 am that we were starved. Of course our bodies thought it was noon time. So we just had some amazing guacamole as a snack at lunchtime in Old Town. Great dinner outdoors near here, then we went to a place to watch some bull riding. Those bulls sure didn't waste any time getting the humans off their backs. Though I know that people can get hurt doing it it seemed really well controlled somehow. Getting out of the parking lot was the biggest challenge. The place had filled up with a ton of people and their cars were all over the place.

Today is the wedding! We will probably eat breakfast again at a place of DSD's choice, then snack for lunch again. We need to leave to meet the shuttle for the wedding at about 3:15. We have to take a shuttle because the wedding is at the clubhouse of a private, gated community and it won't allow the number of cars required to get all the wedding guests there. I guess their security is pretty tight because though DH and I live in a gated community in Florida they will allow guests through for special events at the clubhouses.

Have a stupendous Saturday!

DD hit the nail on the head. The kids don't like the thought of you being so far away. We are toying with the idea of spending more time in Florida and just going to the Cape for 2-3 short trips in the summer. DS got upset when I mentioned it even though he lives a few hours away from the Cape house in Maine now (but he can drive there and vice versa).

I used to like the trick and treating when my kids were young but once they were grown I got tired of having to listen to the dogs bark incessantly so would go out to dinner during trick or treat time. I left a big bucket of candy on the porch. It was always empty when I got home so I hoped the big kids didn't empty it out early on. No kids where we live now.

Festive Friday is much better than being fiscally irresponsible LOL.

I wore soft tan suede moccasins without soles everywhere when I was a teenage - I just replaced them when they got holes in the bottom. I actually saw some of them in a store in Old Town Scottsdale yesterday made by Minnetonka.

I didn't know that that was how cowboy boots were supposed to work but based on the fit I can understand it!

I did not like Bob Denver's music when he was alive but have grown to like it as classic music from my young days.

Nice dinner party and good that your nephew can hear that there is hope for a good life ahead of him.

I'm useless without a to-do list.

I bet that "person" on the other end of the texts was a chatbot. Easier to tell on the phone but it sure sounds like it. Asking for a supervisor might get you a real person?

Balloons!!! I hope we see some when we are there. We haven't seen one when we have been there.

I don't know if I could answer the door the hundreds of times required to greet 500 trick or treaters. God bless you!

I bet you are going to get more of the same from all kids in some form or the other. It's the opposite of the empty nest, instead of you having to let them go, they need to let you go now.

121.7.

Big drama with DSD and our departure to FL. She bought DH birthday tickets to a Packer's game which is Nov. 10th. Closing in WI is the 14th and the 17th in FL. We can pre sign for the WI closing but need to be present for the FL one (or pay for a mobile notary, wherever we would be!). When we started the house hunting process we told her that we could not guarantee we would make the game depending on timelines and even suggested that it would be okay to sell the tickets so she wouldn't lose out on the money she spent. Now that DH wants to leave WI prior to the 10th and miss the game, she is having a hissy fit! She is also mad that we won't be here for Thanksgiving! 20 something's can be so self absorbed!

Tomorrow our former couple's Bible study group is having a going away party for us! Glad we are actually going to be going away after all!

More tossing stuff and putting things on FB marketplace!

Nice boots Liz!

I be****ching the hot air balloons is fun CC. We actually had 2 flying over our neighborhood just last week!

DD, your party sounds like it went great! Have fun marching! Be safe!

Peps, glad your shows are close to home this weekend. Looking forward to seeing what your brood brings home for awards this weekend!

Diane, shrimp!! One of my favorite dinners! We had Hello Fresh pork. Only okay!

Super cute! I love boots of all kinds. Back when so was a line dancing queen, I wore out boots like nobody's business'
