I was up early this morning. I think I've forgotten how to sleep in... But I got the garbage cans to the street and had my coffee outside to watch the sun peek over the mountains with the balloons going up. The total was 8 today: 4 by me, 4 to the south. Liz said it was 49. It didn't feel that cold to me!
At 10:30, some work guys showed up sent by the pool people to replace the tile that's falling off my spa wall. While I didn't know they were coming, beggars can't be choosers especially since I've been asking for them to replace the tile since I moved in! Remember that movie The Money Pit where they are so happy ANYONE showed up to work they get out of the way and ask no questions? Same here. It doesn't matter how much it'll cost or who they are, just be grateful someone showed up to do something.
It's an odd situation here for pools. Too warm to need to drain the pool for winter, but it gets cold enough for water to seep around tile, freeze and expand, popping them off. One tile goes and the rest follow. In CA, this doesn't happen, but apparently is a common issue here. The hard water somehow doesn't help.
Anyway, I have a few things I can get done from my list, then the event for the plein air festival I'm meeting Liz and Mike at starts at 4.

Both Grizz and Buster had a pretty good weekend. I left Buster home yesterday. The Owner Handled group judge didn't use Buster in that group on Saturday. Since the same judge was judging Airedales and the terrier group on Sunday, I decided to give Buster the day off. All the other Airedales were absent yesterday, too. Hmmmm.... However, same judge did right by Grizz, so... who knows what judges think sometimes.
Weight has stabilized right around 205. So, looks like it's time to get serious again. The tirzepatide and VSG do a lot, but not everything. Time for a little more concerted effort on my part.
I am luxuriating in a free day today. All I need to do is go visit my dad and get a workout in. The rest of the day is for me to do as I please - which may involve a lot of doing nothing! LOL!
Beautiful autumn weather here in the greater Bay Area. Sunny, cool morning in the low 50s, but getting up to about 80 in the afternoon. I can still wear shorts, but add a sweat shirt/hoodie thing in the evening and be comfortable.
I am setting the bar low today.... Let's all have a manageable Monday! LOL
CC just texted that there was a balloon up and we could see it!!!

Early up in Sedona this morning. My phone was ringing at 5 am (8 am east coast time). Did I tell you that my bone density test shows that I have progressed from osteopenia to osteoporosis? One of the calls was to schedule an appointment with my new PCP to discuss it. I saw the results and so am not surprised. I have to admit that it makes me a bit nervous about the potential for falling when hiking but I am always careful and have good hiking shoes.
Speaking of which we hiked a trail really close to CC's home yesterday. DH kept saying that he thought we were close by but all the roads look similar to me so I had to look at Google Maps to confirm. We only hiked for 2 hours yesterday but part of that was an extra mile added because DH thought he hadn't locked the car - he had, but better safe than sorry since we had all our luggage in it.
Today we are doing a longer hike (4-4.5 hours) after breakfast. The inn we are at which we have stayed at twice previously has a great cooked breakfast in the morning to get us fueled for the day. Hopefully SeattleDeb won't hijack anyone else's post today. OH can be so funky sometimes. Have a monstrous Monday!

One's home does look very sad in those last days but you still don't close for a while do you? At least you won't be scrambling last minute like I was last year. I kept my home mostly intact at least on the main floor until 11 days before the closing so that I could host the post-wedding brunch at my home. That week I had donations being dropped off, picked up, and family members coming with trucks. it was crazy but I got it done. Luckily I had another place to sleep so I didn't have to worry about retaining anything (like a bed).

Maybe do the beach and relax? I have only been to Texas once for a meeting in Dallas. I'd love to see Galveston. The only 2 places I saw were the airport and the hotel hosting the meeting.

I haven't done a balloon ride! I think I prefer to watch from the ground. Every time I think about it, there is a horrific accident somewhere in the world and it reminds why I should enjoy them from afar...
