Amen!! It shouldn't be this hard or this expensive.

It's the pump. The last one for the other fountain was $800+! But he got one that is supposed to last longer. That one blew apart the pipe connecting it the system, but the pump is fine. So he'll be working on both fountains tomorrow. (insert eyeroll)

Also, I do not understand this county by county thing with health care plans! Makes absolutely no sense to me. You're not old enough to be on Medicare, so one would think you could "free market" or "open Market" purchase a health care plan of your choosing.

This is a really difficult topic to navigate. I'm all for affordable health care, but I'm also wary of gov't and insurance companies getting to regulate treatment and available meds. I wish there was a nice middle ground between socialized and for profit medical care.

Fountains are usually a simple pump replacement fix. Have you tried that? If it's the underground wiring.... UGH....

After a welcome start with the mention of higher tirzepetide doses on the healthcare.gov site, the news got more bleak. The only PPO plans that were available in my county have been discontinued. So I only have a choice of HMO plans. I've never had nor wanted an HMO! I have heard many horror stories of HMOs dictating what kind of treatment you can have or gatekeeping specialists or having the added step of a PCP (which are impossible to find on plans around here) for everything. Really everyone gets screwed with healthcare. A) Those who can't afford it without the subsidies that have not been renewed and B) those who can pay but are in states/counties without decent plans to choose from (I really was spoiled for choice in CA. AZ is a healthcare wasteland). Obamacare had a few good points, specifically not allowing excluding people for pre-existing conditions, but making healthcare affordable is NOT one of those points. And shame on both parties of the government for not fixing the mess we're in. End of rant.

Ugh, another of my fountains has broken. I can't catch a break! None of the 3 are currently working.

No plans for today other than walking Kirby. I should go do something fun maybe in the convertible!

Take care all!

118.4 - though I know I usually get a creep up and then a fall, it still bugs me mentally.

Really strange to be writing November. Thanksgiving is only a little more than 3 weeks away! On the radio yesterday they were talking about people who put their Christmas tree up the day after Halloween. That seems like a bit too early to me though ours will go up the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Good day yesterday: Xfinity fixed our cable TV problem so now we can watch network TV without it cutting out constantly. We did go to our outdoor music venue in the afternoon, then dinner at one of the best restaurants in town with our friends. Very pretty eating outside in a garden-like environment. And we knew our waiter and the singer as they both used to work at our club.

This morning the bus leaves as usual at 7:30. It is 6:30 now and of course feels like we should be leaving LOL. DH and I are playing golf at 10 am, then going somewhere to watch the Patriots game. Unfortunately we can'****ch that at the house so need to go elsewhere. Since they are actually doing well this season I feel guilty that we haven'****ched more than one game. Will have to get my Patriots shirt out (DD gave me one for Christmas a few years ago).

DSD flew to Chicago to pick up an 8 week old ****zu puppy yesterday (I think that is the breed anyway). Pictures later today hopefully. Her name is Josie, we think because of the Steely Dan song. Their 4 year old bernadoodle is named Brandy after the song Brandy (You're a Fine Girl).

Have a silly Sunday!

That's a good sign! Seems like the people maxing out on it tend to be taller so maybe it is at least somewhat dependent on body size.

I just found this: Tirzepatide Clinical Trial

We only decorate indoors here in our condo, but both the indoor and outdoor lights are pretty much the same in Florida as in Massachusetts. It just isn't cold!

510 kids! That is amazing. In our busiest years we never had that many!

I am going to discuss the exercise thing with the specialist on Friday. We do have a gym here at the clubhouse with weights but I really hate doing that stuff outside of a class so I am afraid I will let it lapse after a while.
