Next step of journey

I am new to this site, and this is my first post. I have been working with my insurance and following all the required steps starting at the beginning of this year. I am now down to the preop 2-week diet and met my surgeon yesterday. I have chosen to do the gastric bypass surgery. 

I know I need to do this for my long-term health, but still, part of me keeps thinking about all the things I won't be able to eat and drink. And yes, I know that is what got me into the position I am in today. 

I am curious if others had these same thoughts and how that changed after surgery and the months that followed.
