No, I'm not copying you honey, I just had some great friends that I have witnessed make the transition from being overweight and too ill to make a difference, to really making something special of their lives. I've truly been inspired and I realized that life is too short to spend it sore, tired, angry, and inhibited. I love my children and really want to be there for them.....not worrying if someday they may not be able to wake mommy up. I'm ready to make a change for the better. And, if you feel you want to take credit for that, I'm sorry. You really had nothing to do with my decision to have this surgery. I know how much you have struggled your entire life for acceptance and for that I can't change. Only you can. All I can do is hope that someday you will find happiness within yourself and be able to come to the terms that your family had nothing to do with your unhappiness. We're here for you once you are able to accept that we are friends not foe and to stop hurting those around you that once cared for you. You CAN earn trust again. All you have to do is let go of all the anger, jealousy, and resentment you have. Once it is gone, you will be free. Surgery can't give you that. God can. Two words that will carry you on forever if you will follow: Be Real.

Dear Tina~~~It was great to see your post. I am sorry that you are having a rough time of things. I hope that you are feeling better soon. Sorry I don't have any recipes to share--I lived on variations of chicken soup alternating with scrambled eggs for the first four or five weeks. I am certain other AMOS folks will send their favorite recipes along. May God continue to watch over you. Be well, be happy, be strong.

Dear Tina~~~I was in cyberspace limbo without my computer--after a month, am finally back online. I was so happy to read that you had your surgery and that you are home. CONGRATULATIONS.!!! The feelings you are going through is what I referred to as Buyer's Remorse when I had my surgery. I also doubted that I did the right thing for me but that all passed quickly. I hope that as the days go by you will feel stronger both physically and emotionally. I will keep you in my prayers for a complete recovery. May God continue to watch over you. Be well.
