I talked with Valerie yesterday in the hospital. She is doing good and she should be released today. She spent her first night in ICU and said the nurses there were less than caring or empathetic. But the nurses on 6th floor/regular room are so much better. She spent one night in ICU because BP and blood sugars went up a bit during surgery. She's doing good though. Stable and up walking around and such. She's neighbors with Laura B who is in hospital now due to internal bleeding and severly low potassium levels. So it's nice having that supportive connection.
