Laurie: I'm a patient of Dr. Johnell's also, and my surgery is scheduled for Nov. 8. I wish you the very best! If you're coming to the support group meetings, perhaps we'll meet. I try to make it to every one of them. (Figure I can use all the help I can get!) Dr. Johnell seems to warm up after you get to know him a little, at least that's what I found at my pre-op visit last week. He seemed much more talkative and warm than at my initial visit with him. I have heard he is an excellent surgeon, and from my discussion with him last week, I believe he truly loves helping his patienets. Again, BEST of luck to you! I'll be sure to say a prayer for you! Good luck on your coming surgery. My prayers are with you, and hoping for an uneventful surgery, and a speedy, painfree recovery. Keep your focus on healing.
