My prayers will be with you as you go through the surgery and recovery. May your strength be restored; your recovery be swift and your tender heart be renewed.

Hi, I'd say don't be nervous but, heck, I was nervous. Of course it was all for nothing (except I burned a few more calories) because my surgery went fine. I always say the week before surgery was harder than the week after. Nerves can do that to you. Keep it postive. That means only positive people around you. The negative ones are just ill-informed. I hope all your health and weight-loss dreams come true. All the best,

Hi GE! I know yu are scared, that is normal. I had open RNY surgery on Feb 11, a meer 9 weeks ago! I feel great, and I have lost 50 lbs so far. The first week or so will be tough, but remember it doesn't last forever and you WILL feel better soon. Very few people ever regret having this surgery and once you start seeing the weight loss, I am sure you won't regret it either. Do what the Drs and nurses tell you and your recovery will be easier. Please email of you need to chat. My prayers are with you. Carol
