Good Luck Sheila!! You know you're in good hands with Dr. Shapiro. I'll be including you in my prayers and we'll have to get together soon and exchange " surgery" notes.

Sheila, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine last November, and I have never had a single regret. One thing that may help to remember is that the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.

Hi there, Just wanted to wish you lots of luck on your up coming surgery. Just read your profile and you seem really upbeat about this and that is good. I am still in the thinking about it stages and have so many questions. I am a 35 yo single mother of one from Willmar MN, so was thinking that St. Cloud would be my choice of places to go. But with Medical Assitance and if even approved I will have to go where they tell me to go. Well keep smilin' and lots of love and prayers to you. Barb

This was taken in the early 90's. I was around 250 or 260 in this photo. That smile was just for the camera. I wasn't that happy inside.
These were taken in August, 2002....about 13 months after my surgery. You can tell by that beaming smile that I'm happy to be where I am now. I would do it again, in a heartbeat.
