~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~

Pamela- I hit my first plateau at 4 weeks out, this is normal and not the first one you will experience. Your body has to adjust to all the changes it is going through. I stayed on that plateau for almost 2 weeks then like magic I lost almost 5 pounds overnight. So be patient, keep doing what your doing and all will be good. Pam, I am still on the preop side, but our Doctor here in Alaska let us know that we will all lose weight at our own pace. Some will be fast and some slow, but we all seem to even out at about a year's time. HE also said that we will all have plateau's and not to get discouraged. Try to stay positive. You are 25 pounds lighter than you were four weeks ago. How often do you loose weight on any other diet like that? Good Luck to you.

Hi Pamela, I can remember when I was 4 or 5 weeks out. That was the first week that I didn't lose anything. And just like you I started to freak out. All I can tell you at this point, is that it is only temporary and it will pass. Just make sure you're following the rules and you will see results in the next week or so. Good luck. Try not to freak out too much because you don't have any control over it.

Hi Pamela :) I saw your post in the message boards about your not losing any weight for the past week. Please keep faith in the process and know all will work out ok. I say this from personal experience. Please see my profile and you will understand. I lost 23 lbs in the first 2 weeks post-op and then only 3 lbs total for the next 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. I was so scared that I would fail at this - just like I failed all my other diets - I always lost a lot but would gain it all back just as fast + more. But I was wrong... At not even 4 months post-op, I'm now down 79 lbs and still going strong. Hang in there!!!
