^^^^ANGEL REPORT^^^^ Just saw Christina Garcia in the hospital again. She seems to be doing much better (since her horrible, allergic reaction to the morphine after surgery yesterday). The nurse now gave her Toridol and this sits a lot better with Christina. She wanted all of you to know that she appreciated your comments and concern. It meant a lot to her! Also, the surgeon had her IV taken away, but kept the needle part in her hand incase they have to put the IV back in her, since she's having real trouble going to the bathroom. They may have to put her back on IV fluids again. While in the hospital, I rubbed Christina's feet and arms with lotion, made sure she got her ice chips and even helped a lady named Denise (sharing the room with Christina...who also had a gastric bypass as well). I felt for both the patients! Anyhow, Christina is looking a bit better since she had a shower, had the throat tube taken out and is resting with a different pain medicine in her. I appreciate your support and comments, and I'm sure Christina would like to see the love and words you share still coming to her surgery page. It'll be so nice when she gets home to get all your great messages! Thanks again and keep it up! Pam

Christina, when they take that NG tube out, blood clumps usually follow because of them working in the stomach area. I am sorry that you were not feeling up to par and had a reaction to the Morphine. My prayers are for you to now rest and heal that body. I refrain from coming up to see you as I have been sneezing and I don't think that would be good for you...You are in my prayers and thoughts~~Irene

Hi Christina, I hope that by the time you read this you will be feeling much better. Just remember that old saying of "this too, shall pass" and you will feel much better and in the long run you're going to feel better than you ever felt, right? That's why you were willing to go through this ordeal in the first place. It will be worth it in the end. Just keep remembering that.

Hi Christina: I know you feel pretty rotten right now. I had trouble with the morphine too. You'll be fine though. In a few months this will be ancient history and you'll be feeling better than you ever felt before. Take it one day at a time and you'll make it.
