Donna... I am so sorry you are experiencing this... Not many people know this but I had 2 surgeries within 2 days. I had a "textbook" surgery the first time and when they took the NG tube out.. My stoma was blocked by something.. and I was sick.. so very sick... they did an upper GI and it showed something weird... My original surgery was November 10th, 2000 and I had an exploratory surgery 2 days later on the 12th... yes they had to go back in.. with all the lap scopes and see what the problem was. Well ends up being I had a stupid Gastric artery that was coming in from BEHIND the stoma and pushing up into it(the NG tube was the only thing keeping the stoma open and when they pulled it out.. it closed).. the surgeon has never ever seen or heard this happening... Figures.. my weird body. he said I was more likely to win the lottery AND get struck by lightening the same day! Well he split the gastric artery where into a "Y" and it was no longer pushing in from behind the stoma. I was fine after that. Felt MUCH better. So I was in the hospital for 5 days instead of 3. I was so scared of that second surgery but I had already been thru 2 days of suffering that I was READY for them to fix me. So keep your chin up.. it WILL get better honey. Hopefully they wont have to go back in and it will correct itself. But if you do have to have a second surgery.. it will be worth it. I know they can fix it and ease your pain. <p>
I know I made medical journal history with my freak thing. So hopefully the next time it will help someone else. I miss your emails so keep thinking positive.. God only gives us what we can handle.. (sheesh.. I must be able to handle a LOT sometimes!!!! hahaha..) You will get thru this! Love ya bunches!!
