Hi, everyone! I visited Bob again on Wednesday night, he was still doing fantastic--then Friday he was sent home from the hospital! His attitude is great and he's looking forward to all the weight he'll be losing. I'll be seeing him tomorrow morning, and will post again.cinchouli 21 years, 2 months ago
Hi robert. And congrats on making it to the losing side. I got your name from a friend who is planning to have the surgery at the same place as you. I am planning for mine there as well. I was to have my consult today but long story short, it's for next Tuesday. I will watch for your posts as you go thru the next few months. It is helpful to those of us who have lots of questions and concerns. So you may wonder if anyone reads these, I do and you have reached at least one person. Plus you have reached Dawn, the one who informed me of your surgery. But with every post you see posted on here, remember there are at least 10 others you have reached beside us. So keep up with them! Heres a big hug and a warm fuzzy! And again, CONGRATS!summewe 21 years, 2 months ago
Bob - Congrats on your successful surgery! I wish you a speedy recovery. --Wendy (pre-op; scheduled for 3/31/03)Bonnie W. 21 years, 2 months ago
I just came home from visiting Bob in the ICU. He's doing fantastic! Way better than I was 18 months ago when I came out of surgery. He's talking, joking, asking after others' lives, and in extremely good spirits for just having major surgery 8 hours ago. His wife Lorrie is exhausted after having to get up at 3:00 a.m. to get to the hospital at 5! But anxiety-wise, she's feeling better now that the surgery is behind them. Bob said his greatest fear (can't we all relate to this) was not waking up. He had five visitors in his ICU room, counting us--a testament to how well-loved Bob is. This surgery takes a lot of bravery.summewe 21 years, 2 months ago
