Hey Michelle, in regard to your battles with your mom, just realize that the things she is saying are coming from fear of losing you because she loves you. She is afraid, but instead of voicing that fear she is doing the next best thing by trying to talk you out of it. She might not even realize she's doing it, so rather than confront her with the facts (Don't confuse me with the facts! My mind is made up!) try instead to speak to her fears. Best of luck to you on your surgery, I know you'll do great!
